It destroys his own credibility, yes.
You on the windup as well?
Now that's changing the subject! I love how most points you make are by trying to destroy the other persons credibility and not actually addressing the matter in hand.
Carlton Palmer the legend
Non League agreed - that's perhaps why he's a bit sensitive on the issue.

No I didn't! There you go again...

Thats given me a right good laugh - thanks for that.
Thanks for that. At least I know you are on a windup now.
He also has Carlton Palmer in his all time Coventry x1
It's not changing the subject. It brings into question the persons judgement. I guess in your eyes Dublin must have been worth £100 million looking at the values you place on players.

Well you said this;
"you are bang on right in your analysis of the role Palmer played alongside McAllister. McAllister was about three times the player he'd been for us up to then with Big Carlton doing his dirty work! Every side needs it's Nobby Stiles"
So he was similar to a World Cup winner - sounds legendary to me.
Don't mention it.
Most insightful.
In the context of a team, not as an individual.
Just as I question the judgement of any person who rates Richard Shaw as a defender.
No more sensitive than the Shaw fans.
If you can't see that the game of football is about the team and not the individual then you shouldn't be questioning the judgement of others really. There is no doubt at all that McCallister looked at least twice the player once he had Palmer to do the dirty work.
Wrong log-in Non-League?
???????????

Carlton Palner as a legend?

Of course Carlton Palmer isn't a legend. He was effective in doing McAllister's dirty work to release him to have by far his most productive season from open play for us, but legend? No chance.
Did I fucking well call him a legend?!?
No but you said in his second season he played a major influence which helped McCalister. As he left to join Watford in January on loan before joining Sheffield Wednesday I am merely questioning the accuracy of your logic. To be fair he did play one more game that season on 20 January vs Everton - we lost.
Didn't say 2nd, it was his first he was effective. He played 31 games for us, not 14. 2nd season I remember him being used at CB, where he was shite. Now bore off. This has fuck all to do with Dublin, and you are starting to make coming on here a chore. Which is I'm sure what you intend!

He's arrogant in his interview when he assumes we all forgive him-indeed he doesn't think there's even anything to forgive, he uses the word "understand". He was very smug when he strode up to the press box a few seasons back and walked a few steps away from me-the crowd nearly turned, but a few people applauded as he waved at the fans like a conquering Roman Emperor.
I was sat in the West End that day and i remember him sticking 2 fingers up at us as well, funny thing was it wasn't people in the West End that had been giving him stick, more like sections of the Main Stand,I always thought he was a wanker after doing that, and to fuck off to the scum for more money said it all really.I also recall after he had been dropped, and was getting a bit of stick from sections of the crowd, he came on against Southampton I think it was, scored and stuck two fingers up towards the West Terrace/Stand, but I guess this has long been forgotten too.

Well he played 31 games not 14, that's a fact. Back on topic, Dublin isn't a legend to me, nor many fans. He is to some. But not 99.9%. I think that's all I have left to say on the matter.
A legend to some? I would say to many. It appears to me there is a small handful of vocal dissenters on this thread that do not speak for the majority. The pissed off minority always shout louder than the masses.
Most influential striker to have played for this club, arguably of all-time (anybody outside of the top flight cannot be considered). It was an absolute joy to watch him play in sky blue.
Not true, ee wuz a joodus oo went 2 da scum and we made up a funny song bout im brakin is neck
