There’s about half a dozen on here that whenever anyone points out that Sheaf loses the ball more than he should start dribbling like walruses.

They probably go around shouting at clouds when they’re not on here.

Hamer looks like a headless chicken when Kelly is on .. thought he and sheaf were very good first half

Unbeaten at home, still 4th. Go to the box vs Hull and turn around the away form.

Happy dayz

The fact is Yok has been pivotal to our success so far this season. Even when not fully fit his physical presence and ability to hold the ball up gives the likes of OHare, Hamer, Godden, Dabo and Maatsen the space and opportunity to buzz around playing one twos in dangerous positions. You can only take him off if you absolutely have to. Certainly not when you're just 1-0 up.

Haven’t read the thread but Hyam cost us three points there today. Though as a whole no energy second half at all. Very disappointing all round. First half looked comfortable. Then again like Preston decided 1-0 was enough and invited them on.

100% the poor pass lead to their goal , and really it was needless

Very strange subs again. Sheaf was our best player and we take him off - why? & why not bring Waghorn on after their goal, he would have been desperate to score

Is that the the main criteria for who to bring on?

Man in the middle on the edge of D playing him on I’d say. Even then the defender next to him it’s tight. Linesman has got to be sure to give that and I don’t think he can be…..

Walker has done everything asked of him, but Gyokeres and Godden are different class. Godden has 2 in 2 and an assist and 1 disallowed and has contributed more to the team.

Godden has 2 in 2 as penalties - Elliot ward did that once - Godden is ok but get real Walker would have clubs in the championship gagging to sign him - Godden would have none

He played well today
Not his worst game and as I said, does do some things well and can be tidy.

The problem is, he seems to me to lack awareness: when to tackle around the box. When to dwell on the ball. When to try the slide pass. His decision making is not fully developed

For the purpose of the stat-gimps:
Sheaf was not the worst player on the pitch. He has some quality. Real quality at times.

but:

He is not a midfield general.
He is prone to cock ups through lack of awareness.

Hyam definitely has to take the blame for the goal, but I think there was more going on than just that when looking at why we didn’t win, felt like a goal was coming

Godden isn’t different class to Walker and Walker got 2 in 2and was dropped; it’s poor man management and is demotivating. Oh, and a disallowed goal hahaha.

Hyam at fault yeah. But it’s alarming how exposed we were on the right side of the area and the ball came back in.

My word , not disagreeing with your godden statement but fuck me the Walker one is mental .

The lad is 3rd/4th choice here at coventry City

Thought we played well… except from the 15 minute spell they had in the second half when they scored and we looked rattled… but we regained control as they played for a point.

The butthurt is we conceded from an error (initially). Some mouth breathers on here forget that we’ve capitalized countless times from errors like that… but it went the other way today. Shit happens, get the fuck over it.

It was almost like watching the same game twice except we just about didn’t lose. Little girl in front of me went out crying with frustration and I can’t blame her.

We also seem reluctant to shoot unless it’s from point blank

Walker can finish but doesn’t have enough about the rest of his game to make it in the champ. Godden has a bit of devil about him and can scheme but he’s 30.
