Our big problem now is that our two best players are in desperate need of a rest, and we’re not playing well with them in the team at the moment, but if we take them both out we’ll probably be even worse.

After Blackburn he needed it someone said he hasn’t scored in 6 wonder if that’s when Waghorn went out of the team ? He’s far better next to Waghorn
Agreed, but I think he just had an exceptional first few games of the season and will struggle to get back to that form (like hamer last year)

No way should any player be given nor should they be demanding guarantees of first team football. If that’s the case we made the right decision.

Paterson’s injury record was too much to gamble on given the wage he was likely to command. As it’s been the guy has been fit all season. It’s paid off for him and Swansea
Had a cracking game today.

He definitely needs a rest, but we have no replacement at all, so will continue to play.

Do we suddenly see him becoming composed with end product ? Everything is 100mph just needs to slow it at that crucial moment
Nope because to me, his heads gone. I think he now does that thing I used to do in Sunday league and make sure I'm not anywhere near on goal, for fear of missing

People know about Gyo now but he’s a lot better with Waghorn next to him for sure

I’m not so sure, I think vik and walker could work, I see why Godden plays cos he’s our best finisher

I don’t think walker and rose are getting a fair shake atm

Ohare needs some bench time we need a plan b, can we not play 3-5-2 with three defensive midfielders? We need someone to play infront of the defensive two midfielders but not necessarily a number 10 just a midfielder that can score

Yes that’s it in a nutshell

Bloke is our only attacking midfielder. The pressure is on him. He's been knackered for weeks.

No other side in this division has one attacking midfielder who they rely on. No wonder he's been poor for weeks.

fair comment

but no goals or assists isn’t an attacking midfielder

send him to left wing back😂

I might get slaughtered for this , but I think using godden at number 10 and walker and gyok up front could actually work

O hare is a box to box player - he’s not dissimilar to fleck who scored 20 goals to date in his whole career - he’s not a number 10

I'd give Jones more time off the bench to give O'Hare a rest. Not exactly the same player but more of a goal threat and we need to give him time to see if he can get up to speed in this division or not.

Jones is not good enough. Robins knows that too.

He gambled on Bright being the back up and it failed.

He's had 3 assists this season and he's been involved in 2/3 other goals.

Maybe if we had another attacking midfielder we'd not notice his lack of goals as much.

Spot on.

Ideally you'd have him deeper and then have a quicker, goalscoring attacking behind Gyökeres.

Wonder where his next goal is going to come from. He needs one off his arse or something.

I was saying the same on the way home. I can’t see him scoring more than two all season. Though if he could score as well then he wouldn’t be playing for us. It’s strange that he can do so much else so well but every shot seems to be scuffed. His confidence in front of goal must be rock bottom, but it says a lot that it hasn’t affected his overall game. Still one of probably two players that scare the opposition with Gyokeres.

If Waghorn is fit I’d like to see a front 3 of Waghorn behind Walker and Gyo. We need to see something different now.

Totally disagree with this. That's the slowest forward 3 I've ever seen in my life. We need to get rid of one of the four strikers. All too similar.
