I still think it’s very unlikely, but just noticed he’s been backed from 25s this morning, now into 7s so clearly someone is putting money on him. I know you can never read much into the bookies.

It would be a huge risk for both Norwich & for Robins, in my opinion. Robins is very close to doing something truly exceptional here and his job is about as safe as it gets in football right now - and it should be for a really long time. The important thing our club has to do is show a plan that progressively gives him more resources season after season.

But money talks a lot louder in pro. football then ever, I’m guessing but manager salaries in the Prem. at teams such as Norwich must be £2million a year minimum.
He could be on the verge of big things here but needs support in January from our owner to have a chance of doing it, he might know the answer to that.☹️

Be surprised if Norwich were paying £2m a year. It was reported a year back Dean Smith was earning less than that at Villa

The owners know they have nothing without Robins - so they’d need to pull out all the stops if there was actually a job offer he considered. He might use such an offer as leverage to get more guarantees in place and up his own salary. I don’t think Robins wants to take a gamble and jump into a job where he’ll be given no time and every game he’ll be scrutinised. He is progressing and improving his reputation every season here and building something special.

For Norwich or any other Premiership team he is unproven so is a risk from their perspective. He hasn’t had experience of managing players on huge wages with huge egos etc etc. So from both sides, I am not sure these moves make sense yet.

The plus from Norwich is they give there managers time I think the average is about 3 years farke got 4 .Still think they already sorted ed a replacement before farke went.

Realistically if he failed there he’d be able to walk back into a club like us as well as being very well compensated for his troubles…

That is true but getting the full backing of the whole organisation, a high level of job security etc - that is a very rare thing in football. Most managers don’t get more than one of those in their lifetime and I think Robins understands that - it’ll take something really substantial to change that.

If Robins went then so would Vivash go with him I'd expect. It's about the coaching team not just one guy.

If i were Norwich, i think Dean Smith would be an excellent choice, but clearly they already had someone in mind, hence the Farke sacking after that weekend win.
I rate Smith and think he was hard done by, but hey, let's hope they employ a really crap manager next.

Farke was on a reported 1.5 mil a year basic salary+ bonus's on a 4 year deal. If offered it MR would be gone in a shot and set up for life. I don't think you could blame him. When he played the wages were good next too the average bloke but nowhere near the difference now.

Has anyone got any truthful idea of MR's current salary and bonuses? Even SISU would have to pay the going rate in the championship at the very least. There would have been promotion bonuses etc so he is pretty well set I would have thought. Any new contract would have to see him on 500k upwards, maybe 750k area. Anything less and he would be certain to move on from the Sky Blue project wouldn't he? I'm sure Joy realises that. If he is staying here for less then we are at great risk to losing him.

It a PL club came calling he would be off as it would likely be the only chance he’d ever get. Personally I wouldn’t blame him either, he’d deserve it.
