Keep them in the ground for 20 mins after the game, although you would still get some of our idiots waiting for them to come out.

Yea its nailed on to be carnage.

Millwall is a night match on 29th December. Will be the same issue then.

Starting to think someone high up at the CBS actually wants trouble so they can claim our fans are trouble

Saddlebrains turning up to the next few home games in full chain mail, writing a tearful goodbye to his wife on the way in.

The station is tiny - even if trains were laid on there would only be two carriages and it would be total carnage

It is not even a station is it? It is more like a bus stop. Strange how WMT can lay on loads of shuttle buses for the cricket at Edgbaston. But can't do it for Coventry v Birmingham City?

Agree

Think il be swerving this and watching from home.

4thousand pissed up angry brummies milling about unable to get home. In the dark, and hopefully after a loss, is a recipe for probably the worst disorder we've seen in a long time
Believe me this has the potential for some major trouble here if no buses are laid on for the brummies after the game. They also need to keep them in for 20 minutes after the game until the crowds outside have gone. You can see brummies being picked off in side streets they are innocently walking to to get to there transport.

Hope the police insist on the away fans being contained after the game and then the majority transported to coaches or designated car parks to maintain public order. Not hard to do but I guess it’ll cost money. I doubt many will come in the train will they with the station miles away?

People worrying & going OTT about there being “carnage” & the match being a “recipe for disaster” - we‘ve played Blues before in a night match, they bought 6K the once, and fuck all trouble happened

I might be missing something but are there usually shuttle buses from Coventry train station to the Arena?

The travel issues have been constant at the Ricoh since we moved there. I remember years ago when the Rocket was still standing that (god knows who organised it) there were double deckers for away fans when they travelled in numbers. Is there a possibility that could be organised from the Litten Tree where away fans seem to be going instead?

For our lot it will be case of waiting for an Uber after the game which can be a nightmare. Just means having a drink after the game in the Casino which I suppose is better than hanging around the car park when the inevitable happens after the game.

I don’t think people are worrying. I don’t actually think brum will be the problem it’s our lot that are developing a reputation.
I know a WBA season ticket holder that was originally refusing to go the December game due to to city’s ‘reputation’. Thankfully, we talked him around at work.

You don’t know the ‘inevitable’s going to happen at all….calm down

It went off after the game by Rowley's Green Lane

2009 game when we won 1-0, I remember that kicking off quite badly in Tesco Car Park. Same with the 2006 game on October 31st.

Only one I remember being fairly uneventful was the early round Carling Cup game when we were just relegated to League 1 and Marlon returned.

So how was it in the end, for anyone trying to get back to the station? Was it the carnage that many predicted?

They laid on about 20 rail replacement buses. Generally worked ok.

Still loads of Birmingham fans around well after the game.
