I think it is easy to accuse Hoffman of revelling in the attention if you don't know him. He watches us play games with his Dad and young son. He goes with his friends and contacts. It is apparent that he is there because you have seen him in the paper. At one away game, he was accused of lording it on the front row. He arrived just before kick off and it was unallocated seating, so went on the empty row with his Dad and son. The crux of the issue is that fans are frustrated that a deal didn't go through. Some people didn't like particular aspects of how it played out in the press. Does it mean he did it to make Coventry fans more aware of him? Of course not... he has made enough money and prestige through business to not even consider this aspect. He did it because he is a Coventry fan - one who can talk with a decent amount of football intellect about the team he has supported since childhood - and he hoped he might be able to make a difference. It didn't happen and it looks unlikely, once again. Doesn't mean false accusations should be levelled at him.
Bottom line Hoff tried to get something done because he cares about this club as much as any of us, ultimately it has so far resulted in nothing but a few non-Hoff fabricated false dawns but that doesn't belittle the man or his efforts. Hopefully he may come up with something in the future or maybe will work with the supporters to get ownership of the club away from SISU but we should be grateful that at least he has tried to make something happen and because he cares not because he is a self publicist.

Despite what many on here wish to beleive i am of the opinion its all for self publicity and with zero substance. He wanted fans to turn against the clubs owners by trying to bully SISU into giving the club up for nothing. Amazingly now SISU are being slagged off by fans for trying to bully the players over the bonuses row. Amazing hypocrisy.
