They should of pulled the trigger after the Liverpool or Man City drubbings. They could of got Conte then. On the + side Giggs is currently unemployed and the Neville brothers could do what the Cowleys have done. 😀😀

Well they can’t have he should have gone ages ago how he’s still there Christ knows United like it or not are an institution who should have wanna be managers in a long line.

I think Solksjaer is still there because United haven’t a clue who to replace him wth
Spot on, they fucked the timing totally.

There isn't any clear candidate to replace him.

Zidane isn't what they need and probably wouldn't take it.

Rogers might do ok but isn't going to inspire fans

Who else is there that hasn't just joined a team or is already in a better position?

Would be hilarious if they give it to Darren Fletcher for the rest of the season

Can't see MR wanting to go to united, its been a death sentence for far more experienced managers than him since Ferguson left.
And the pressure and scrutiny the next manager will face will be all consuming.

You are joking right?! He would absolutely snap their hand off and do the job for free. The thing is they wouldn't touch him with a barge pole, he hasn't got the right level of glamour or isn't high enough level of club legend

That would be interesting Fletchers twin sons are on Man City’s Acadamy books.

Conte was available and probably would have chosen them over Spurs but the board thought Solskjaer could turn it around. Now there really isn’t anyone suitable but it’s clear that Ole has lost the plot.

Pretty fun to watch

United's chase of a manager is similar to how they recruit players. They want an easy fix, a big name because that's what the market wants.

Not like they would ever consider him but he would earn in a week what he would in a year here

I agree with you

David Moyes
Louis Van Gaal
Jose Mourinho
Ole Gunnar Solksjaer

It's definitely the manager not the entire club

Agree that it needs an overhaul from top to bottom but, let’s have it right. In no other scenario would Utd (or any top 5/6 premier league club*) hire a manager whose CV consisted of failure at Cardiff and (I presume) some success in a pub league. Was a dreadful appointment from the off.

*Lampard similar although perhaps less bizarre given he did well in his one season with Derby and was still a relatively newly retired player. But also a shite appointment for an elite club.

Now confirmed, seems they’re looking to appoint a ‘Guus Hiddink’ type figure to see out the season before going after a permanent boss

Robins would have self belief he could do a decent job anywhere including Manchester United as would a lot of current managers but it’s a club full of massive egos players on as much as half a million a week I bet the lowest paid in their first team group are on three/four million a year how do you manage them ? The global situation of the club, hounded by the media, and then there’s the fans spoilt by the Fergie years especially. Only one certainty is being sacked but sacked a rich man.
Manchester United have become a basket case club.

Plenty of managers used to big leagues can manage such players as Klopp has shown and actually Soljsaar is an example of what happens when you throw a manager in who has no such qualities

Fans would go mental but Graham Potter is a manager with a plan and clear attacking ethos, never gonna happen but is the type of manager that they need long term.

Never see Southgate get linked with any of these top jobs and most international managers would jump at the chance of a club job

Potter and a few others (Rogers one) would be decent long term. But I’m not sure the next guy gets time after a few poor years.

I'd imagine he'd want a pop at the world cup again first especially as it is only next Xmas. As long as England don't totally flop his stock will be high for a while yet
