Theres clearly something causing this. Its one of 3 in my view

Cocaine use is rife in this country as we all know and causing this

The vaccine (cue the angry ones)

Peoples general health has gone to shit in lockdowns and theres a lot more unhealthy hearts out there

Most likely just coincidence although I wonder about the third one.

Maybe it's more that games are stopped now because of medical emergencies in the crowd?
Hadn't thought of it this way to be fair and its a valid point .. although games have been stopped for medical emergencies for a few seasons now , or haven't they , and if not why has it just started happening now 🙃

I think it is quite a recent thing isn't it?

This is my suspicion. Are there any figures for heart attacks or medical emergencies at games? Guess not but games never used to be stopped even when people tragically died.

For me it's just become more apparent, probably since Erikssen at the Euros

I doubt it's the vaccine, it's a easy scapegoat

Poor general health made worse during lockdowns probably hasn't helped mind

Have a guess how many people start having cardiacs at football stadiums leading to delays in play every year before now

Because we all know its nowhere near the amount it is now.

Again, not sayin vaccine but it really needs looking into, its becoming a massive problem.

Another one at Leicester Southampton just now also

how do you know they're heart related? I read the guy at Southampton was up and walking, if that's true I doubt it was a heart attack.

It's none of the above.

I'm in my fifties, been furloughed, triple jabbed and just about to sneeze (is it sneeze or snork?) my second tab of coke.

I'm fit as a fiddle.

Here's the truth.

More medical emergencies leads to more defibrillators.

Wake up sheeple. Follow the money (and buy shares in AED manufacturers).

There was a young girl at a home game having a fit, her parents just held her so she was safe and carried on watching.

They obviously knew what to do and weren't panicking.

With my heart condition, after 4 heart attacks and bypass, I always carry round with me, my GTN spray (Glyceryl trinitrate). It can be a life saver if used early enough. I would be more than happy to allow someone to use my spray if needed. There's no concern about passing germs either. It is sprayed under the tongue from a few centimetres away, not coming into any contact with the person needing it. I've had to use it myself a few times when I've had an angina attack. The only downside is that it always leaves me with a pounding headache, but I suppose that's better than the other possible outcome. What I'm suggesting is, if there's anyone else on here that has personal access to GTN, carry it with you You never know when it could be needed.

Same here mate, I carry it every where I go. Though you're winning 4-2

It's because its gained more media attention due to Covid I think. Just been looking it up and on average in the last 5 years 3 people have had a cardiac arrest at a football match, this season so far there has been 3
