Fair enough. Would you make that permanent?
not if he didn’t deliver no

So who?not if he didn’t deliver no
So who?
Seems laughable to sack the manager when in sixth position in the Championship and without a plan of how to replace him. That sounds like the sort of strategy that lead to us falling from the top league to the fourth tier. Fortunately such knee jerk ill thought out approaches seem to be a thing of the past for now.laughable

Sacking managers in the 80’s kept us in the top flight - not sacking thorn got us relegated
You sack the right ones not just go about randomly sacking them as a strategy. Of course sacking Mackay for Sillett was great but surely you agree replacing Sillett with Terry Butcher not so great?Sacking managers in the 80’s kept us in the top flight - not sacking thorn got us relegated
I think he is suggesting we do it anyway even if we have no idea who might be better.I'm not sure who does much better given the same financial constraints and off field situation.

ExactlyWell I had this discussion with him when the infamous Jackett suggestion came out and I do understand it a bit better now, you do it when the club's stock is highest to attract the best candidates. But I could only entertain sacking Robins if I thought someone could be doing much better with the same resources, and I don't really think anybody within our grasp could.
We're basically seeing how far you can go on what for this division is a pittance

His argument is shite on this as it always is .
BTW The goalposts have shifted .
Last year it was replace him to keep us up , now it's replace him to keep us up the top half of the league and also viveash is the brains behind the operation , which basically takes any credit away from Robins.. yet would strangely also make viveash more liable to be replaced than Robins himself if we drop down the league ?
It's a laughable and somewhat bitter opinion , based probably off the fact Robins has proved him wrong year after year and made his opinion ( which he thinks incredibly highly of ) look absolutely stupid year on year .
Yes grendel can make some good points , but he is so far wide of the mark in regards to Robins its at this stage laughable and embarrassing
His personal feelings couldn't be any more clear , he's made it obvious.. he doesn't rate him simple as
Has anybody actually ever seen grendel give Robins credit for anything ? If he has its very few and far between
When that Brian guy used to post
"LOL"
Oh how I miss him. Hope he is ok wherever he is

This year??? Why won't he let us know he's ok?!!?@_brian_ Last seen Sept. 20
Probably already drafted that comment and is sitting with his finger hovering over Post Reply.Grendel having a shocker.
If he’d have just admitted after one of the numerous times he called for Robins to be sacked that actually he got it wrong then there’d be no problem. It’s the fact he won’t back down and just keeps digging that just makes him look more and more ridiculous. Saying he’d happily swap Robins for Jackett was just the icing on the cake.
The worst thing is you just know that if Robins took us to the Premier League for a couple of seasons then got sacked he’d be waiting to say ‘Told you so!’
