So the whole world is in I'm a conspiracy theory because Boris held an after work party 18 months ago. Ok errr that seems plausible.

I get that we're all fed up with restrictions but this remains serious. Warwick is full on the Covid ant ITU wards, the surge ward prepped in readiness. I also heard a former colleague of mine on CWR regarding the bed availability in UHCW regarding their response. He's a man of integrity and I'd take his opinion over the friend of a friend on a football forum. This is here to stay and we should be as cautious now with testing, sanitising and mask wearing as we were last year. Your choice, but I know what I'll be doing to protect my family.
I love how UHCW has around 8000 staff and is one, if not the, biggest employer in Cov but it is completely unbelievable for anyone to know absolutely anyone who works at the hospital who might personally know what is happening or have any knowledge.

TBF my missus works at UHCW and is constantly coming home with stories about anti-vax nurses and doctors not taking it seriously. I wouldn’t give much weight to someone just because they work in the NHS.

For unvaccinated.
Edit: you mean which vaccine? All the stats I’ve seen any dose of any vaccine classes you as vaccinated. Unvaxxed means no doses of anything.

That's the thing, it can be a play on words.

You could be classed as unvaccinated if you haven't had the booster, for example.

Are you saying your missus is making it up? ;)

What happens if you have a cold or flu with no symptoms and pass it on and they die? Let them test daily and go back asap.

If we are now going to isolate people so much then you are going to need 3 times the staff as cover.

So much of it is what if. Meanwhile everything else gets forgotten.

There has to be a balance and acceptance that sadly, people die.
Yes but im sure you opened my eyes and stated that not 160k people die in 18 mobths from the flu, so.

Like I said, it will be used with a play on words. (either way).

Vaccinated, Non-Vaccinated, Partially Vaccinated, Fully Vaccinated.

Move words around depending on which way you want to push it.
There’s no evidence to suggest that’s going to happen or happening though, is there?
You can’t go on about the media whipping up panic and the doing it yourself.

I am just pointing out what will happen, come back to this if you want ;)

Slightly different between me making a post and the media, don't you think?

My point was just hopefully it will be broken down into Boosted, 2 doses, 1 dose, none etc.

I can kind of see what Nicks saying here. I reckon they’ll have vaccinated as two doses, not sure if they will separate out boosters. Will have to see on both

Yeah exactly. It's how it's defined.

Hopefully they won't leave anything vague and open to interpretation....

Scotland have introduced new measures from Boxing Day, included maximum of 500 spectators at football matches

It's going to happen here too isn't it...

It sounds like it's the same as "Pubs can open outdoors" type thing.

"Yeah but fans were allowed in". Is it even viable financially to open a big stadium up for 500 fans? The same as opening a restaurant in January where people can only eat outside.

How do they decide who gets to go if its only 500,

Sounds like it's indoor hospitality with table service, better than a frozen pint outdoors!

Don't know where you'd begin with 500 fans, might as well not bother

Played up by who, and to what end?

The government? (They've consistently resisted lockdowns)
The media? (Lockdowns are disastrous for their business models)
The health experts? (They have no power)

All of them would love nothing more than to move on from Covid. Just like the rest of us. It would be the best news ever for them - lockdowns have nearly killed them all, in some cases literally.

If there is a puppet master secretly at work in the UK that I've missed, then they've done a pretty good job of getting the rest of the world to join in.
If you’re after a good tinfoil conspiracy may I recommend ‘The Great Reset’

Is the 500 limit effectively BCD? I'm sure there was a limit around that when there was no crowds to cover the number of people actually needed to stage a game, press, sponsors etc.

So looking at the numbers , when are we expecting cases to start doubling every day ? As the numbers have stopped going up , should be into 2/3/400k by now ?

I’d imagine it’s far higher than the confirmed cases as it sounds like there’s loads of mild/asymptomatic cases...which is ultimately a good thing.

I also wonder whether some night swerve a PCR as they’ll be worried they’ll fuck up xmas if they get a positive result

Still all about the hospitalisations for me
