I’ve nothing against him but I don’t see the point in him. He offers nothing in the link up play or closing down. I think he’s a fairly decent finisher, but he’s behind Gyok and Godden in that, and they offer a lot more work rate and in general play. He has no excuse.
Godden was garbage tonight

Earlier in the season it looked like the officials had been directed to clamp down on time wasting a bit and the added time was actually realistic whereas recently that seems to have gone completely out the window.
What happens to the extra 6-8 minutes of the early games? Tonight it’s the standard 4 despite 5 subs in the 90, injuries, and who knows how many minutes lost to goal kicks and throws. There was 1 minute added in the first half despite the game having just theme stopped for 2 minutes for Kane to receive treatment.
Yeah it’s nitpicking but seems a huge disparity to how games were being reffed early in the season.

He was weak, for want of a better word. How Bialkowski wasn't booked only he knows

I haven’t watched it back, but felt that Moore would’ve come off his line and either cleared the high ball or closed the loose ball quicker. I may be being harsh though. Overall he had nothing to do and is far from the worst culprit today.

Which goes back to the point we've being making, we now have a decent keeper, but if he's out his replacement just isn't adequate. No disrespect to Wilson but he's not a Championship keeper, not even a backup one.

Of course the argument can be made that we've improved that position overall, which is true, as iti is for other positions, but can't see the owners financing another incremental step forward?
Because I don't think we can hit the next level with lower league purchases, free transfers and loans.

They need to find a better way of punishing goalies time wasting as booking them is a waste of time as they are never going to send them back ff for doing it again. Clive said the six second thing is a guidance not a rule/law if that is the case they need to make it one. Player should leave by the nearest point not stroll across the pitch kissing everybody on the way through and when you have let a goal in the opposition should have so long to get back if not ready you can start after there goal the guy virtually crawled across the centre circle while the ref did nothing.

saying all this we were poor tonight and Sheaf and Kelly at home doesn’t work there is no energy there.

Yeah, possibly, I'd need to see it again too. What I do know is we lost 2 or 3 challenges in the box & allowed the ball to bounce straight to Bradshaw yet none of the defenders have been blamed as much as Wilson 🤷🏼‍♂️

Millwall were rank, a half decent side puts them away tonight. But you have people here who don’t seem bothered.

Need I remind them we aren’t near 50 points yet and on this form and performances we’ll be scraping home. People should be demanding better when we know this group is capable of it. They’re letting themselves down with these displays.
Put plainly and simply we far, far overachieved in the first quarter of the season. By a combination of sheer unadulterated 'never give in' attitude, some genuinely superb performances and a little of that stuff everybody gets - luck.
Other than the (waning now) 'never give in' bit we are deficient in the other two parts.
We will be dropping like a stone in the next four months (apologies for stating the obvious!) but this team/squad/team, whatever - It's the same thing, is 100% done for this season.

At risk of surprising everyone, Clive is wrong.

Don't worry I was spitting feathers at all of them but I wager that with Moore that goal doesn't happen

I disagree. The style of play is unrecognisable and has been for 12 games.

Robins saying loads of players couldn't train because of contact?

Are the rules stricter with EFL or I guess they aren't vaccinated at all?

If a player is unvaccinated they have to isolate , we had a few in this position having to train on their own at home , we only were able to train this Monday and Tuesday with full group , Dabo had covid and only back 2 days , Hamer should be available Saturday
It’s looking unlikely game will go ahead though

Was just going off robins comments.

Still think the game should go ahead on Saturday.

They were timewasting from the off, the keeper in particular just took the piss countless times and was never so much as spoken to by the ref who was terrible throughout himself. Couldn't believe their luck when an aimless hoof into the box found its way into the 6 yard box.

0-0 would have been accurate, and in itself still a shit result
Agreed. They were piss poor and we didn’t look like troubling them after they early chance of O Hares.

I honestly don’t know what our game plan was. No idea. Poor team selection too and not brave enough in the changes for me.

I live abroad so don’t get to go to many games and looks like this is the only game I’ll to see.

Why does everyone in our crowd hate Walker? I don’t get the hate at all. Just cause he doesn’t gallop around like gyokeres?

His movement is fantastic and he takes players out of the way creating space for others. He’s also the best finisher in the squad I’d say.

The amount of times I heard “lazy” too. Shock.

Some absolute cretins in block 20 today near the front…one guy wouldn’t shut the fuck up all game and obviously didn’t know anything about football. Another guy with ginger hair shouting paedo and nonce and queer at the referee. Someone had to turn around and ask him to shut up as he had kids

Poor all round. Midfield and final third we appeared clueless…we never really tested a shaky defence…their number 5 first 15mins just looked like he didn’t want the ball…he looked better after moving from left to centre of back line. They were a poor side…and so were we tonight. Overall worst performance of season for me; no cohesion, no free flowing football and less spirit than we have shown previously.

Was chatting during the game and my son made a very valid point when we took the Sky Blue tinted glasses off for a minute.
The team that started was very much a L1 team bar Kane and possibly Maatsen.
When you take the spine out of the team-Moore-Dabs-Hamer, we are a lower championship side at best and have been punching above our weight as most of us already know.

He's awful and certainly not the best finisher in the squad. Summed up by his failure to control the ball when he was played in by O'hare with a clear sight of goal in the first few minutes.

Been here 18 months now and had zero impact, barely even seen glimpses that we can cling onto that he will come good eventually. It's not going to work out for him here.

Whatever the plan was there needs to be every effort made to return to the general style of the opening games. And perhaps certain players need a kick up the arse while others might need some reassurance.

The pitches have got heavier and our players have got too many games in their legs because our squad is paper thin and we now aren't able to compete with the below par teams in the league.

Management needs to try and push the players into trying to implement the same pressing style or work out a different way to play because this putting 11 men out and seeing what happens tactic needs to end.

The slower tempo stuff is I assume a response to players becoming more 'leggy'. Problem is we won't break anyone down playing like that because it requires technical quality that isn't there. The right answer was there at the beginning, hit teams quickly before they have time to regroup, and hunt in packs from the front. Get them in the gym more, drill the fuck out of them in training or whatever is needed to instil the belief back in the group.

We were awful worst I've seen us play but we haven't played well for weeks. We are to obvious in the way we play. Millwall were shit like Birmingham but we have no proper creativity in the team O'Hare has no confidence and with Dabo out no real outlet going forward. Wilson should be coming off his line and catching that ball but he was the same when he had a good run before.
