By that logic we shouldn’t play Györkeres as our only remaining goal scorer in case he gets injured.

Squad is there to be used and if we’re going to lose another striker I’d rather do it while the window is still open and we can go begging to Joy.

She won’t give a fuck. Gyo can lead the line on his own and he’s fit. Waghorn still doesn’t look 100%

It's about risk management though. Assuming the normal risk of a player picking up an injury is 5%, and the current chance of Waggy sustaining a re-injury of his dodgy shoulder or something else from not being match fit is 25%, who would you play with a busy schedule coming up?

That’s a fair point.

How many did Stoke return from the postponed game? Think about 16,000 attendance if they’re bringing 2,500

17,500 expected and I think Stoke originally sold 3000.

Lowest home figure for a long time. Doesn't help that the pricing is dreadful. Clearly Stoke isn't an attractive game, especially on a Tuesday before a huge number of games.

Only thing that needs to change from Saturday is a bit of luck. We wont play half as well and could still win. Maybe it doesnt suit us when we totally dominate. We are better/good on the counterattack. Which there was very little of as we completely on the attack.

Pricing is ridiculous. But it's difficult to change give refunds to those who have already bought.

17500 attendance.

Win 3-2. Again they have 3 shots and score 2.

Same team I reckon. U23 playing same day I think so don't know if they might prefer Eccles getting a game in that than on the bench, seeing as we have Kelly.

Yeah, must win game if we have any hopes of top 6. Then Boro after who are also above us. 6 points from these two would be a dream but I’d take 4 all day.

Game certainly feels bigger after the disappointment of Saturday. I would keep the same team, we played well and did not deserve to lose.

Bidwell looked poor, both on and off the ball. I assume (/hope) it’s just rustiness. Shipley will tire by 60/70 anyway.

If it’s not working/we are losing/we need something different I hope MR doesn’t wait so long for his substitutions. Jones looked sharp on Saturday which was a pleasant surprise and Waghorn might bring the best out of Gyokeres.

Stokes team looks strong on paper, but so did QPR and we were the better team.

A tense 2-1, Gyokeres and COH - it has to happen eventually.

Think I'd go unchanged from QPR if all fit as was decent performance.

Being devi's advocate I don't think Moore had a good game at all at QPR - Wilson watching on must have been pretty gutted to be dropped watching that performance.

Also Bidwell did not look great when he came on and defended terribly for the second goal so should stay on bench if Shipley fit.

I would like to see both Waghorn and Jones get more minutes from the bench too.

A big game three points are essential tonight and then three points away at boro to keep any faint play off hopes alive....a tall order!

did you watch Boro play Blackburn last night! if they play like that against us we have a chance of a result, we just need to score first!

Is the match on ifollow or sky red button tonight ? That normally impacts the crowd numbers too

Its a must win tonight lets be honest

Already 7 points off the top 6. Not saying we will get play offs as we arent good enough, just rather it fizzled out in March than Jan

Really struggling to get enthusiastic about this… Saturday was just so disappointing. You play like that and come away with feck all. I’ll be there but feel drained after the manner of the QPR defeat. I think a pre match beer should sort me out …. See you in the casino 😎

I hesitate to call anything "must win"...

But i feel that if we are to maintain any slim hope of being in the playoff hunt then we really do need to beat Stoke tonight. I'll resign myself to admitting we are out of it if we don't win.

A bit bothered about Ian Wright's grandson. He looks a fantastic prospect. Hoping they rest him. Expecting a narrow defeat, but also expecting us to go on a decent run after the Cup game. You heard it here first!
