You know you are in the damage limitation zone when you have to put out the word that you weren't invited to the parties.

Hopefully that's a piss take but I suppose it isn't.

Other trivialisation of breaking the law from MP’s today include “it was only 10 minutes”, “covid rules were broken by most homes” and “if the PM did break the rules and gets fined it’s only like getting a speeding ticket”. Not even pretending that they didn’t break the rules anymore instead choosing to lead with the laws an ass, that’s their laws.

Students were busy being fined 10 grand for the crime of having a party while they were taking the piss all year round.

His interior designer was apparently accidentally there as well.

Don't you just hate it when you accidentally stumble into a birthday party and then accidentally stay for food and drink. Bloody pain in the arse isn't it.

Especially interesting given that 'Lulu' was coincidentally working in the house in June 2020 on the day of the party, but in November 2020 Johnson was begging for funds so that said imterior designer could start working on 'the tip' left by the notorious hotel-room trasher and vicar's daughter, Theresa May!

Strange eh. Almost feels like someone isn't being entirely honest...

The West, (NATO), gave certain assurances about expansion, Putin is a slippery, corrupt fuck but I think he's got a point in this case.

But surely it's up to Ukraine to decide if it wants to join NATO? Should they say no just because Russia doesn't like it?

It definitely feels to me that Putin doesn't feel he can lose here. If he invades and NATO doesn't act, he gets Ukraine and makes the West look toothless. If NATO does he'll use it as an excuse that Russia is being bullied and he has the right to take action.

Then there will be China's actions. If the West is busy dealing with Russia, they'll use it as an opportune time to seize total control of places like Taiwan, Hong Kong and Nepal.

There is the chance that it could escalate quickly and with the likes of Johnson and Biden in charge it hardly fills you with hope (though at least it's not Trump)

I thought that was a decent gag to be fair. Johnson will know he’s carrying as well which is why it’s funny (not so much if he’s an Adonis). People need to chill out

As expected, the fix is in.

The government and the Met, as absolutely bent as each other.

Tinpot corrupt dictatorship. And people on here get their knickers in a twist when I say this country is a shithole. Here's your evidence lads.

Completely obvious what will happen now.
The report either won't be released at all or will be so heavily redacted that it's meaningless. Meanwhile the police investigation will rumble on for ages, waiting for the furore to die down, then declare no action necessary.
Get the impression that won't wash with some Conservative MPs however. Just depends how much momentum they get.

If it wasn't so depressing it would be hilarious. It's the sort of corruption we'd lazily assume of some third world country.

This. They desperately don’t want to lose him if they don’t have to.

Yes if a week is a long time in politics 3 years certainly is

Which is a good thing for Labour's election prospects.

No chance 'Mr Johnson' wins another election.

Better chance than anyone else I reckon. A lot easier to fight a classic Tory than someone who steals half your clothes. Johnson is pro net zero, pro spending, charismatic. Nightmare to position yourself against as a left wing party.
