I'm 44 but already turning into a overly nostalgic prick! Sorry.
Why is it I was so thrilled to see a 4-4-2 in action again last night. 4-4-2 to me is like a warm fire or a cosy pair of slippers. You know where you are with it.
I can't help feel that a shift in formation might help our midfields get on the scoresheet. Like Micky Gynn and David Thompson used to do with ease. But then, maybe they were just better in front of goal than our current cohort!
