Everybody fit Allen would be fourth or even fifth choice Hamer, Sheaf, Kelly, probably Eccles and about 50-50 with Shipley. Last night he and Shippers started in fairness I didn’t think either were hopeless but not ideal together.

Same applies to Kelly over his 4 years at the club. Not sure if hes ever played dozen games in a row. If he has its not often. Always picks up niggly injuries.

Last nights loss was hugely frustrating but I think that's slightly OTT....

Almost certainly, but for me Allen should be ahead of Shipley at AM, and is second choice in that position behind O'Hare.

Over the past 10 games we sit 16th in terms of form. I wouldn't necessarily suggest it beckons trouble, I think it just highlights what desperately needs addressing in the summer. But equally, it's not like nothing will change. Robins and the backroom staff will obviously try to rectify the gaps in the team and plug the problem areas the best they can in the summer.
Investment in a AM that can chip in with goals for instance is an absolute must.

Equally we know at least one or two will move on and need replacing themselves, never mind using proceeds to add on top of who goes. We also know the owners don’t have any appetite for providing any extra help.
So that’s where my concern comes from

Unfortunately that won't change unless a miracle happens and a new owner comes in with an appetite to invest.
Realistically every single summer will be the same whilst we're under the stewardship of SISU.
Robins/Badlan will constantly have to unearth gems (which as a model is completely unsustainable) but we just have to hope they can continue working minor miracles with what little they have at their disposal.
It'll certainly be an interesting summer. I guess the key for Robins/Badlan will be to try and get as many of the unwanted fringe players out the door as possible to ensure they can maximise what's available.

Sorry I misunderstood. Unfortunately that's the rigidness of our model. The budget is the budget and that won't change regardless of the situation or scenario. Understandably the fanbase weren't particularly happy with this as it quite clearly highlighted the lack of interest/ambition from our owners.
I believe Robins was looking in January for a loan to replace Bright though but for whatever reason that didn't materialise. Whether that was due to lack of budget available or the deal falling through i don't know. Someone ITK would probably be far better placed to advise.

Can't see why he would go to another Championship side. Not worth the risk for him, given the experience at Swansea. If it is was a Premier league team yes it would be worth it, and I think that is what will happen.

We had to go for Bright because he was cheap. Similarly with Jodi Jones. The reason he's here is because he's a cheap option.
I still maintain in games like last night, Bright would have been brilliant alongside O'Hare. I'm desperate for us to sign someone with the pace to run at defenders and shoot on sight.

I can't work out if this is a parody or not. We are in our second season. We need 6 points from 16 games to improve on last season. How can that possibly be defined as treading water? I got home at 1 last night, and am knackered and miserable from sitting in the cold after a drab game, but the hyperbole on here borders on the levels seen on Twitter at times.

I was thinking this the other day, especially if he hits another 5/6 goals between now and the end of the season.
A lot of managers rave about him and teams are well-attuned to the threat that he offers.

What’s the risk for him? Likely starter in a team going for the automatics on at least 5x the wage.

As fans we are impatient, but in a game of football involving two teams, only one can win - and sometimes, neither. It may be stating the bloody obvious; however I think we sometimes forget that we don't have a divine right to win. What is more important is that the team is improving all the time, We can all see where improvements are needed. The thing that will be sad, is if we have to lose too many of the good parts to upgrade the weaker parts, Fine if it works, but not always a guarantee, Hoping we lose no more than one of our main assets (and I won't like that bit either). Somebody remind me, but if we were to sell a player for £5m, am I right that in terms of the 'funds available' regarding EFL financial regs, we are not allowed to re-invest the whole £5m. just a proportion of it?

Another Swansea experience or worse, including not getting into the team, leading to a loss of confidence and being back to how he was when he joined us. Would he be picked ahead of Weghorst at Burnley? Probably not, but maybe worth the risk for a chance at the Premier league. Not worth it to stay in the Championship.
Staying here he knows he has the manager's confidence. That means a lot to a player. But I think he wouldn't turn down the chance for another shot at the Premier league.

Hmm I see what you're saying Herts, but I think if the club received significant bids for him in the summer I'd wager that they would look to push the deal through regardless of Gyokeres' thoughts on the matter. Given the salary increase he'd likely receive I doubt it would take much convincing for him to agree to the move anyway.

I agree. We would probably sell, but not sure that a relegated Burnley or Norwich would appeal to Gyokeres. I actually think he is better than that.

He’s exceeded expectations but is only 9th (joint) in the top scorers. Armstrong got 28 and managed a move to Southampton so scale back from that

Not sure. I personally think those two would probably be the best he could get. He's still far too raw and inconsistent in front of goal for a PL move and Burnley and Norwich would be the two in the Championship (presuming they go down of course) that would most likely be able to afford the fee.
Equally, I actually think a move to Norwich/Burnley is quite attractive. Likely to receive a massive increase in wages and he'd get the opportunity to play for a team that will automatically go into the season as favourites for promotion back to the PL.
