Just imagine if we'd not had JA this season. We'd likely not have had anyone elsein the squad and I think we'd be staring at relegation right now. I think he's been one of the stand out players of the season so far. I also think he'd be on more goals too if Vik had shown a little more awareness at times. Sometimes he's been stading at the edge of the box, completely unmarked and he never complains.

Think there are a few in your list who would be lower end championship players. We need to evolve the squad so that Allen is not a guaranteed starter and rather someone striving to get minutes off the bench. He is a great presser of the ball and those attributes when trying to see games out in the last 10 mins is a valuable asset and on that basis he is a decent squad player.
If we were chasing a game we would need different options like Palmer as Allen would not be the right option.

Id rather play Eccles if he’s doing a more defensive role, he’s likely to improve with game time at this level, his range of passing and defensive contributions are IMO better. Or Palmer if we want a more attacking player.
