Great to see new contract Janie Allen showing his worth to the squad

I can't even see what change we should make.

Bidwell off and that means maatsen there but who for?
Stick Godden on, can always nick a goal. Maybe Jones or Tavares too.

2-0 down and frustratingly for some on here no O’Hare, Shipley or upto now Waghorne to blame he should be on soon though so be patient.

Not just about O'Hare. The tactics are totally different. That maybe due to O'Hare not playing but very selective pressing is clearly by design. I don't understand why giving the keeper all the time in the world to bring the ball out makes sense. Especially as any long ball over the top targets our slowness at the back.
Yeah I didn’t get why we were allowing him to just wander miles out of his area and not even press him.

Just watched their second, I still can't figure out what rose was doing. He was in their half and completely out of line with fadz and jcs.

Looking at their 2nd goal there was a handball as the player picked the ball up from the keepers long ball.

Poor miss by Gyok, plus our crosses from Bidwell and Kane have been woeful.

Can't see us getting back into the game based on that 1st half. Opportunity missed with so many top 12 teams playing each other.

He's been a regular in some decent teams at this level

Yes I know this. But have mentioned in other threads before; x-amount of games at this level does not always guarantee a better footballer.

You can play in shithouse teams that get results and do okay without being technically proficient. Or play in a different system that suits your playing style. I don't think Bidwell suits the way we play.

Game isn’t over yet.

So far it’s disappointing but not surprising;

A runner and an attacking but out of position LWB as 10’s + two offensively ineffective full backs, meant we’d always struggle to attack.

Defensively, Rose for Hyam shouldn’t have made too much difference, but it obviously has.

Again, not saying he’s the LT answer but it has to be Taveres soon (alongside Gyokeres). He has pace and plays off the last man; nobody else does that. Very inexperienced and left field but I’d also be tempted to give Jones a go at 10 if it’s still 0-2 with 25/30 minutes to go. Again the justification is that he offers something different and maybe some creativity the current team doesn’t have.

I’d be genuinely shocked if anyone still criticises COH after this.

He's played for teams such as Brentford and Swansea who play decent football

To be fair, it doesn't help when we only have 1 in the box to aim for. I've not seen 1 of our midfielders make a run in behind Gyokeres.
