Andy Turner now reporting we are in talks over a permanent deal but the article says Chelsea have the option to extend his deal by a further 12 months.

That may be why it took so long to get done.

Just like the Sheaf deal we could have been sorting the permanent with both Chelsea and player.

Overnight before every away game , training ground facilities , sports science and nutrition support etc . He had been at Man Utd and Leicester and so used to that standard and was looking for his next club to offer as close to this as possible

Haven’t they also had a big issue with their medical staff messing up players’ injury recovery?

Pretty sure we can’t offer him anything, just foreign clubs
You think the foreign clubs have fared better than we have through the pandemic? Dont think they have! If we make a reasonable offer( more than 2bob a week) we might be in the running to get him.

No. I've no idea what they'll do there. They have been playing Rose ahead of him recently so maybe it's a consideration to look for someone younger, but he's played well for much of this season so could be asked to stay. It is that risk that he might just start to find it a struggle all of a sudden due to age.
He’s been great this season but did wonder if, with Rose playing every other game recently, they are blooding him while resting Fadz a bit.

Not doubting your sources but how was that possible re Liam Walsh? Bristol had a one-year extension on his contract which they were probably always likely to trigger?
They offered him 15k which he was never going to turn down , we still offered him terms , we also went after him last summer

Fadz will be offered a new contract , also think Hamer will confirm another year on his contract to 2024 but would expect next season to be his last

Would be fantastic news. Thought he was nailed on to be sold this summer. You think we stand a chance of keeping JCS? Was impressed when we signed him that it sounded like he had other possibly bigger options on the table but liked the sound of the project here.

Good bit of business if possible, good grounding, good age and looks a good player, certainly gives us quality in depth and balance. I'm sure he will get a few nice offers and he will take time to consider his options, let's just hope his decision is to sign and be part of the club taking the next step in it's progression.

This done/nearly done then SBB? Would be massive having Gyok Ohare and Hamer all under contract until 2024 even if for the fact we could get a lot of cash for any of them

I shocked if I'm honest. Really thought he'd be on his way in the summer.

Why? Before he came to us there was a hardly a massive line of clubs after him plus he couldn’t even get in Blues first team - he seems to be settled well here & reckon he would’ve signed on easily

I’d be pleasantly surprised if Hamer signs and stays. Convinced one of the big three will need to be sold, so that only really leaves Gyo. Really hope we don’t cash in on any of them but that appears to be our growth model, which to be fair has worked the past few years.

It worked for Brentford
