Jumped to conclusions there chap. Read my post over this thread. I'm not negative. I support.

It anything you are negative, saying out team was that poor last season that no manager could save us.

Which isn't too far wide of the mark!

When we lost; King, Westwood, Juke, Turner, Gunna and only replaced Westwood and Juke (with a 1 goal 1/2 season striker) and lads who are 1-3 yrs older than I, you know you're going to struggle! Oh but for your argument, it's all Thorn, nothing to do with the fact he had no support from the board and lost 5 excellent players!

This isn't a pro-Thorn stance, it's a pragmatic analysis of the situation! :jerkit:

Oh what a surprise the same 10 anti thorn posters jumping all over this thread.

No he didn't - he used a non-news item about nothing to be provocative. You are not stupid and neither is Gaz. The motive was clear.

I'm totally gob-smacked that a perfectly reasonable link to a factual news item has inspired 15 pages about the managers qualities. You are paranoid if you think there was any intention by the OP other than posting a news piece-get over your pathetic hang-ups. The only way I may have been provocative is in articulating my contempt for people who are prepared to twist the agenda of any thread onto the qualities-or lack of-of the manager. I have no pro-Thorn agenda, I just don't like seeing what was once a respectable forum descending to such levels of inanity. It's mostly a pile of tosh on here at the moment.

Says the man with 3,631 posts? All original I suppose?

A lot more original than the only subject you know....like a one trick pony. You are the type of poster that won't post if we go on a good run. Then as soon as we lose a game you will be on here going on about it all being the fault of AT. Or we could say Duffy who has actually said he would want AT to go even if we won this division.

Most of us are realistic. We know what happened last season. We know why changes couldn't be made last season. We had players not good enough that were on too much money. AT made mistakes. Agreed. Show me a manager that never made any mistakes last season. You need to get out of your bubble and see the whole picture.

The time has come to see if the minority are right. Whoever shouts the loudest is not always right. For the first time since he took over he has been able to bring in his own players. He has not scouted the type of players another manager wanted.

We can revisit this thread after the game today. Take a look if things are going the right way. So far we have won a game in the cup and drawn 2 league games against two teams that have won every other game they have played this season.

Good thing is the thread title says. This is a thread about thorn.
In my book free for all.

He is a good manager, he finally has had some support. We will get in the play offs. Debate resolved.

I agree with dongonzales!!!!:) Maybe being in Australia at the moment has affected my brain. The post should have been locked down straight away it is pointless. new signing does not slag off management team of new club he has just signed for.....shocker!!!

pointless thread lock it down and save the numerous pointless anti or pro thorn pro or thorn debate responses.......oh!!! :face palm:

the ludicrous think is how must posters seem idiotically to be making out the thread was intended to discuss a new signing, actually upon reading these seem mostly pro thorn posters....clearly it was not!

All I did was point out the obvious hypocrisy of a man with 3600 posts (in 12 months) complaining about topical repetitiveness - the one subject you seemed not too keen to comment upon in that post.

Not strictly true. Scenario was promotion. The squad I believe is capable of top 6 regardless.
Winning the league would be a significant achievement. In that scenario I would concede a misjudgement on thorns capabilities.

Average of nearly 10 posts a day then, and most of them are whilst at work on 12 hour shifts. I suppose excessive :D

So are you saying the only thing wrong I did was not saying about my near 10 posts a day? Repetitive? Are you saying the only time I ever post is when replying to the AT out threads? Real good point you would have made if you were correct.

How many posts would you say I am allowed a day for you not to make comments about me like you have?

What you said was it had already been proved he isn't good enough for the Championship as he got us relegated with a strong enough squad to stay up. You have used a few variations of it also, so could come up with a slightly different worded version.

My interpretation of promotion is a top 6 play off scenario. I believe this is possible as things stand. Winning the league I cannot see or have even considered so if that is achieved he would of course get an extended contract as he would have demonstrated over achievement a winning mentality and an ability to handle pressure.

Then it must be collective paranoia as at least 3 other people have independantly drawn the same conclusion and they are not on a one man vendetta, unlike myself, explain?

Yes. Probably in one limp caveat-laced post; thinking that offers redress for the hundreds of mindless and twisted ones that have punctuated your myopic presence on here

Don't bark your orders at me-I don't have to explain a thing to you. I've obviously greatly overestimated your intelligence, or did you not grasp the point of "The prevailing tone set by a vocal minority on here is incredibly detrimental to being able to see things objectively"? All your answers are in there!

It doesn't answer it no because other posters on here have argued that this thread was started to get a response and others that have said it have never called for the managers head.
The logical conclusion therefore is that there is no paranoid interpretation but that my observation is correct.

Think those who are objective would be put into the anti-Thorn camp.

Nothing is based on emotion or "hope", merely on what has happened, and likely to happen by extrapolation from before.

You do like a bit of hyperbole though, so fill your boots.

I have a funny feeling I'll say no and an old quote will appear so I will plead the 5th.
