"Respect the ref".

I'm all for it, but when someone is so poor, it's hard to respect them. How can thousands of people in a stand see something the officials can't?
They need to send players off for being pricks and they need to be punished for being shite.

They’re like the police though. Evaluated by their own so protecting each other.

Dabo lucky not to get 2nd booking and a red there. Foot recklessly high

Gyo should have scored one on one. Brilliant worked goal for us from Godden with an assist from OH. Dabo gave away a pen that was not given and was lucky not to be sent off for what should have been a second yellow. Sheaf did not give away a pen, as it was not a pen. Standard of refereeing again was abysmal mostly against Derby I thought until the dreadful pen decision. If we didn't have bad luck with injuries, we would have no luck at all. Looks like JCS with groin latest casualty. Thought Bidwell looked good after a rest and Maa pretty poor defensively which I guess was why he was rested. Season petering out unfortunately. Derby I thought gave us a lot of trouble with their pace and trickery. Like us at times, unable to finish. We got lucky with the one that hit the post.

Hope those cunts go down now, fucking diving pricks. They had the ref on their side all game we played pretty much 90 minutes with 10 men on the pitch.
I do think the battling adversity narrative gets everyone in their side. All the pundits fall over themselves rooting for them.

If Blackburn lose today we are still in with a shout

We had the chances to win today and a win would have kept us right in the mix.

We need to put a run of wins together. Hopefully Godden is getting near match fit now and can start scoring regularly and push us on.

What about taking Lawrence off them next year? Clearly a handful.

I wonder how many points we’ve ended up dropping from missing gilt edge chances…

Same old same old. Create enough good chances to win but just can’t convert.
Bit lucky with the one that hit post. Otherwise v even game. We look v good going forward and our goal as good as any this season.
I wouldn’t have given penalty but he was touched and that gave ref a decision to make.
The player that dived first half needs retrospective punishment… would challenge Tom Daley for gold.

Terrible all over. Awful team selection to start with. Gyokeres, Dabo, Shipley, Allen, all poor.

Referee was a joke and you could tell that he was desperate to give them everything from the start. Officiating is truly just pathetic in this league.

What pisses me off though is we don’t seem to be able to adapt our approach to when things aren’t going our way. I feel like the team lacks a proper leader - someone to call the shots, bend them refs ear, hype everyone up when needed and calm everyone down when the momentum is with them and the ref js giving them everything.

Thought bidwell was alright at LCB actually.
Absolutely 100% agree. We need a master of shithouse tactics to be in the refs face all game every game, a player that can control everything that goes on. Dennis Wise get your boots out and put a City shirt on again.

Can't believe ppl moaning about pen. It was a pen be it o hare dumb late kickout or sheaf clumsily bundling in.. And they shud have had one for Dabos kick up the balls earlier too.

Maatsen found out time and time again (as was Dabo). Anyone think he, or any other post-McCallum player has done better than what we would have expected from Brandon Mason (apart from his injury)? I don't.
Neither are brilliant defensively although Dabo did better today than he did Wednesday. We need to be better there for next season.
