This is old news but why did Starmer not justify the actions? Did he hope it would not come out?

You're right, the man to focus on is the guy that sent a solitary text having not been briefed by MI5/6, and not the man that nominated Lebedev, overruled security advice, partied with him etc etc

I’m sure Mr Starmer will claim his office sent a standard text two everyone

2 questions arise

- why would he allow it to be sent to Mr Lebvedev if he had concerns

- why did he not admit this when questioned?

again the public will decide - as the independent committee decided to allow the appointment - and not the dirty misogynist bully Labour wanted appointed

Starmer is a member of the privy council, he doesn't need a briefing from MI5/MI6

Doesn't mean he was given that information.

But again, this is a non story.

If he had all the available evidence and still sent that text, then it was a pretty fucking stupid thing to do but it still pails massively into insignificance compared with Johnson's misdemeanours.

But as per usual it's working. Tories deflect and people lap it up.

I think the point is being missed by you. He’s texting a man to congratulate him for peerage which he obtained through giving money to the ruling party. The MI5/6 stuff is irrelevant.
The fact that doesn’t ring alarm bells in the LOTO enough to at the very least not send that text is disturbing.

Starting to think that there might a big Lebedev story on the horizon. Big enough to take Boris down so there’s a conservative attempt being made to take Starmer with him. Will probably work too, look at the levels of shits given disproportionately to Starmer having a beer while not breaking lockdown rules compared to shits given about Boris partying like it’s 1999 during lockdown breaking his own rules. The press are clearly setting a stall out.

No but they are fiercely anti Starmer (which is fine, not a criticism).
It’s not about being anti-Starmer. For me it’s the idea that the leader of the Labour Party is sending congratulation texts to someone who bought a peerage. He is in the wrong party if he deems that normal for his position.

Like party gate?

well partly gate is a non story and Mr Starmer has that alone in two years at election time go for it

Statmers interview on LBC sums him up. A man with no convictions and trying to
Be a man for all seasons but is a man with no opinions

It’s a shocker - why people ask him do
Women have a penis I don’t know but why he seems to be unsure I’m rather puzzled too

His comments on the royal tour are classic Starmer - bit critical, thinks his goes a bit too far and hasty backtrack

Does he have an opinion on anything? Well other than women don’t have a penis - but then again that might lose me a vote do they could have. Oh he’s not sure.

It's astonishing that you can pick such faults in Starmer but can't find anything to criticise Johnson about.

Actually it's not astonishing at all is it

So what attracts you to Mr Starmer - what are his qualities

johnson by the way is about as Tory as Starmer is traditional Labour. If Johnson really had his way he’d be a high spending liberal spunking money everywhere with zero regard for long term economic impact

He's a million times better than Johnson or Corbyn. The first leader of either party in a long time who actually looks capable of not embarrassing themselves and the country on a national and international stage.

that’s empty rhetoric - what does Mr Starmer stand for?

What are his key policy ideals that attract you to him?

You'd know all about empty rhetoric being such a fan of 'Mr Johnson'.

This is an utterly pointless discussion

lol you can’t name one policy or one principal that makes him a potential Prime minister - he is of course the clown who lost the northern seats in the first place with his half arsed Brexit policy and he’s bound to drop some gaffe about not ruling out an EU return at election time

So as someone that in theory should be a nailed on vote for him, what is he going to do about the cost of living crisis? Or the fact my kids will never get on the housing ladder? Or the impending climate crisis?
I don’t give a fuck how many flags he stands near, or how sharp his suit looks - he’s an empty sack of uninspiring shite with no vision for this country in the future.

Let’s be honest if Starmer was a conviction politician even like kinnock with galloping inflation, massive cost of living issues and issues around the prime ministers integrity he should be miles ahead in the polls

The gap is closing. He’s labours IdS an utter joke of a politician

I don't know how you can comment on anything political with a straight face these days given your heroes are funded by a murdering despot who is intent on killing innocent children. But hey ho yeah Starmer is the real baddie.

can you answer the question please?

what policies attract yoy to mr Starmer and what’s his USP?

we’ve already established one of those murdering despots children seems a bit cosy with Mr Starmer

Also it’s interesting that you believe people who vote Tory are supporting the killing of Ukrainians. Does that include those in the north who chucked labour into the wilderness?

guess you wouldn’t want such vile people voting labour again would you? I mean they even wanted brexit.

God you're tedious.

well I think the thing that’s coming across is there isn’t a single positive quality or policy Starmer has or indeed a core principal

you can spit your childlike hatred and stupid comments all you like - the left are good at that and equally good and coming second in a two horse race

Anyway.

State of him.

Who goes running in a dress shirt? Guarantee he didn't shower and carried on working in the same shirt. We've all worked with someone like that.
