Given the useless nature of their support, I may as well try here...

The picture shows the top left quarter of what the full picture is supposed to be, but then the TV zooms this so it fills the entire screen. I currently have a large distorted elephant trunk with no scenery, and watching the F1 practice allowed you a mild glimpse of wheel now and again!

I have tried a factory re-set, I have tried turning it off and on again, I have tried resetting the picture size, and checking the zoom on it. I get a message when turning it on that says

Please go into service mode and setup below options - type, local set, front colour option

The 'support' has checked that and said the settings are fine.

They've also said wait a few days and see if it fixes itself(!) However, if this is a known bug, I'd quite like it fixed now...

Weird, have you got anything HDMI you can test it with to see if it might be an issue with the TV Tuner in it?

When you complete the factory re-set, the top left quarter is seen in the bottom right quarter, showing that it's picking that up, and that only, before filling the entire screen with it as you press next (which you have no choice but to do!)

Tried that too! Tried the apps as well... they all do the same.

Weird, out of warranty? It's usually just the picture setting stuff where it zooms in too much but after a reset it should be fine.

Not Picture in Picture is it?

).

I turned my TV on and all of a sudden had the same issue with the picture only in the top left quadrant and blurryness and glitches in all other quadrants. The Netflix and ESPN home pages filled the entire screen but when I would try to watch a selection, the choice would resort to problematic picture. After trying Settings and everything to no avail, I held down the power button and it did a soft reset. Turned it back on and all is well and no issues. Hope this helps.

Ringing them back, and I'm now an expert on police call signs, but no closer to them fixing my TV...

Have you tried hitting it with a hammer?
It's possibly next on the list. Today's support took me an hour to spell out my email address, and now I have the number of a TV repairman in Kettering for my efforts.

I suspect it's nearly as cheap to buy a new TV!

Right, given up and called John Lewis, they'll send an engineer out. Pays to shop at middle class shops sometimes!

Worker's collective, they are!

(Plus it was the same price as anywhere else, and I didn't realise they gave me a five year guarantee free, until now!)
