Got to be Gyokeres. Was underwhelmed when we signed him permanently after his loan spell, and it's not his goals, they're a bonus. It's the way he has strength, can seemingly win the ball from a lost cause, looks a danger when running at people.

Trying to think of the closest forward we've had like him, and Regis comes to mind in many ways.

regis by his own admission hadn’t got a great deal of stamina and said sillett essentially saved his career by getting the ball to his feet

Jukewitz ran the channels in a similar way but not as well though he was better in the air. If Gyokeres could improve his ability in the air he could be a real premier league potential player

I just can’t see a club signing him now at that level which is actually a pity as you could get him back on loan. Burnley West Brom and Norwich I’d imagine would like a player like him

It's the strength and ability to power at defenders that comes to mind. I did think Jutkiewicz, but didn't actually see much of him in comparison.

His destination doesn't have to be England of course. Mid-table Bundesliga would be a good career move for him?

Is it bad that I can't even recall any of his good games 🤣, seems everytime I watch he makes a howler or just has no chance of stopping goal bound shot.

Didn't u see the Sheffield utd away game...PUSB

Hyam 100% guys been head and shoulders above all our players, contributed a few goals and is stepping up to soon be our captain.

I would say gyokores but his dry spell sort of ruined it for me.

Hidden in with a shout also if it was player over 20 games,

I think O'Hare has been class this season also but his lack of goals for a number 10 took him out my list.

So out of all the players this season it is either sheaf, gamer or hyam.

Gyokeres is player of the season for me, and the one of our big 3 I least want us to lose as I think he will be hardest to replace.

I suspect he is the most likeliest to leave though, as I suspect he will command the biggest fee.

Although he has been slightly inconsistent at times during the latter half of the season, Moore is still superior to any GK we've had since Westwood - and that includes Murphy, who whilst solid enough, was largely overrated by the fanbase during his time here.

His performance against Fulham was outstanding.

Yea not disputing that we've had some really bad keepers recently 🤣.

Got to agree with most on here, it’s big Vik for me.
Seems to pretty much have it all - could maybe improve his goal contribution - but his strength is incredible. He must be a nightmare to play against. I think testament to this is the amount of success he has in cutting back inside. The opposition must know he does it, and that it’s coming but are unable to stop him.

Having said this it’s been a great season and the whole squad deserves credit.

Cal slightly ahead of Vic for
I don’t think they will actually

You’d hope the sale of Gyokeres will be enough especially if the likes of waghorn and Walker abs even Kelly could be moved / loaned out

This is an area where you’ll really see if Boddy is good at his job or not. Wagott wasn’t popular and rightly so but he could engineer some successful deals structured in a way that gives the income over a sustained period - Wilson being the best example.
Interesting point about Wagott. Do you think that if Leicester sell Madison it might play a significant part regarding our three prized assets?

I would say Gyokeres but the player who has made the biggest impact in an improved season is Simon Moore. He has made a huge difference to the whole of the defense. I think Clarke-Salter would have been in with a shout had his season not ended early and Hyam has been the most improved, along with Gyokeres.
It is great that there are several players this year who have had a very good season. On his day Hamer is our most gifted player but he is inconsistent and his discipline let's him and the team down. At stages of the season I would have said Fadz and Sheaf were player of the season. Most of our first team have improved.

It's Big Dick Vik for me.

He's given trouble to pretty much every defence he's faced this season and we'd be in a much worse place without his goals. Best all-round #9 the Sky Blues have had in donkey's years.

Really strange in a great way
Normally its a one horse race for player of the season.
This season… Hamer is a class above, Sheaf will be a class above and Gyokeres has been so far above what I d expected its unbelievable.
So do nt know lol

I can see Fulham trying to take at least one of the three. I think Hamer especially would slot straight in that Fulham squad - he’s actually more of a premier league suited player in many ways than championship and if Fleck can make that step up to lower level prem player then Hamer can.

The Hyam love in is laughable. Honest pro but way, way too slow for top end Championship. The fact he recently signed a new contract told you all need to know about where the club is heading.. O’Hare player of the season by some distance.

Agree.

Gyo is also very one footed. Which, for all of his pluses as a player, will limit his growth as a player.

In the leagues above, the defenders are stronger and quicker so Gyo needs to develop his left foot. At the minute, he’s arguably a bit one dimensional because he’ll always look to cut onto his right foot.

A stat that is incredible is that this season, we have never lost when Gyo has scored which shows us how important he is to us.

My votes would go:

1. Gyo
2. COH
3. Hamer

Hyam love ? He is been our stand out player every single game this season, for someone brought for development still stepping up to every level he has been thrown at, if I remember correctly he went against mitro twice you know the guy who scored 38 goals in 40 games? Yet didn't seem to score.

I think the reason we have a few realistic choices boils down to consistency. The better the players, the more consistent they are. Sure, everyone has the odd clanger or off day, but as a whole, a fair few are performing to a good standard pretty much week in, week out.

Every defender knows what he is going to do but that does not mean they can stop him, he is a powerful runner who also has quick feet to a degree

Do we get another bit of money if Leicester sell on? I would have thought we would have only got money from the Norwich sale… not every sale of the player ever
