This Summer (2 Viewers)

The list above of realistic and unrealistic is probably pretty accurate. If we secure JCS and draft in another CB could live with that, Rothwell would be brill. exactly what we need but nearly joined Bournemouth in January so almost certainly out of our reach. I don’t know all the others but out of all of them Tom Barkhuizen would be my choice think he would fit into our brand of play.

It’ll be interesting to see what we do over summer and whether MR is given a decent budget.

We really aren’t that far away, keep the majority of the core, add two CB’s, a LWB, and another 10 and ideally a striker (assuming we can get rid of Walker and Waghorn). Anything else is a bonus.
No way are we bringing in 14 players;)

After walker’s awful performances at Portsmouth I doubt anyone would take him even on a loan

Looks like he has lost all confidence, lack of desire,
won’t work harder to make things happen, not playing in a side that plays to his abilities.

What ever the reason(s) I cannot see another manager wanting him or think he will be what they are looking for.

We have him to the end of his contract I’m afraid.
There is too much evidence that there is a good player in there for the first line of your post to be true IMO.
Whatever the reason for his poor form this season, he can't be completely written off for the rest of his career.

Bayliss and Mccallum and Willis would be good additions in the summer

if you was a top side pushing for promotion you might possibly take a punt as back up on reflection but a team fighting for their life’s no chance I’m afraid.

Portsmouth fans not happy either….

Priorities:

CBs x 2
LWB x 1
CAM x 1

A quick striker if we can shift Waghorn or Walker. Godden and Vik as the core, a third option that's better than what we have. Doubt we'll shift either, though. If Walker can come good, with a second genuine CAM I think that's enough.

Ideal world (as in not the real world) I’d like to see us bring in:

Young GK to push Moore and ultimately take over
3 x CB (A big defensive leader maybe more experienced. Two with more pace and quality on the ball, probably younger maybe a gamble from a lower league or a Prem loan)
LWB (Young, attacking, pacy)
CM (Hamer understudy)
DM (Challenge for Sheaf but more defensive)
AM (Goal scoring and capable of playing with or instead of O’Hare)
ST x 2 (One big and able to stand in for Györkeres and one quick)

Give a 25 man squad of:

Moore/GK
CB/Hyam
CB/Fadz
CB/Rose
Dabo/Kane
LWB/Bidwell
Hamer/CM
Sheaf/DM
O’Hare/AM
Györkeres/ST
ST/Godden

Eccles/Allen/Tavares

Not going to have anything like that budget, or keep everyone, or ship out all that dead wood, but that’s what I think an ideal squad would look like.

Walker had to go to get Bidwell in but he will be back so that’s another big wage,I can’t see us going at it too much this summer, forein hasn’t worked British is expensive
The Netherlands league has worked, I like the look of Kenneth Paal from the same club Hamer cane from

Forest finished below us last season and now look at them, they've bought in some very good loans!
That’s very true but assuming they go up they are really going to struggle to compete. They are going to lose Spence, Garner, Davis and Zinckernagel just from the team that played us 2 weeks ago. Arguably with the exception of Johnson they are their best 4 players. Loans are great but when 40% of your team are made up of them it doesn’t make the others up to the same standard. Forest will struggle next season.

Maybe but Stoke did it once and survived for a long time. Anyway they get £100m protection money - I doubt they care

I would argue that if they got promoted they would probably sign Davis permanently (probably even if they dont get promoted) and sign Garner on another year loan

If they go up they'll sign Spence permanently and maybe one or more of the others. If they don't go up, it might be a struggle but they might sell Johnson for a big fee and bolster their squad with the funds.

No chance they'll be signing Spence permanently if they go up.

As per the reports, he'll probably end up at Spurs.
