Tosh!
Of course we can afford their contracts FFS.
The truth which is spouted by the club and the management at every given opportunity is that we develop players and sell them on for a profit to keep the club self sustainable - that is our business model.
None of this should come as a surprise to anyone surely?
We can only buck this trend if we get promoted to the Premier League and even then you have the bigger fish feeding from the pond below them - players come and go and thats just the way it is - who had even heard of any of these 3 players before we signed them??
Hats off to the management for unearthing and developing this fantastic talent for us all to enjoy while they are with us!
Im looking forward to the next gems they bring to the club - onwards and upwards!

it’s the much fabled but non existent model

Unless we get a combined £30m, we're not going to lose all 3. Cheer up.

Easter Egg breakfasts all round.

Well we seem to be at first suggesting one may go. Now many seem accepting it could be two so I guess they will now be wondering what the reaction is if it’s 3

Out of Vik, CoH and Hamer, it’s the latter that I’d prefer to lose - the other 2 are integral and would be harder for us to replace.
I agree but Hamer is class, I don’t think we’ve had a player like him for a long time (I’m actually not sure we’ve had a player in his mould in my time).
Will be gutted when he goes but I think he probably will this summer

Yeh you’re right I reckon SISU probably watch this thread to decide what assets they can get away with flogging

without question it’s been suggested a couple could go and the general reaction seems to be casual acceptance and almost gratitude

Oh and I can 100% confirm the club do monitor what people on here say. Someone contacted me over a comment made this season.

I can see it being one, people get too emotional, there’s better and younger players out there for clubs to buy.

Ideally we’d keep all 3 of them are continue to build a team to get promoted, with these owners that unlikely to happen though.

That is so depressing

It wasn’t a bad thing it was fine just over an issue I had raised . It was though a very small post in one thread amongst loads so it’s clear this gets looked at

What are you going to do? Fall off your high chair in anger and shake your fist?

It's generally accepted that if bigger clubs come in with the right offers they will generally be sold? That's the reality of it.

No doubt your reply will be some weird shit about Stooges and worshiping at the SISU chapel or that I'm angry. None of those apply.

How do you define a bigger club? That’s really the difference now isn’t it to before

There are lots of bigger clubs in the Championship than us. Especially those with Parachute payments.

Again, the reality of it.

Which again proves that fisher is correct.

I’m sure they have something like 23k season ticket holders even when they go down

If the club can sell players to established premier league clubs who are in the premier league clearly there is an argument to sell as you can get £12 - £15 m easily and if it’s put back into tbe club entirely then there’s a logic

There’s a logic when we sold upwards in lower leagues for the same reason. Of course there is. If you start selling to competitors in your division you’d better players that’s a whole different “model” isn’t it

There's a much bigger gap in competitors in the championship due to the parachute payments also.
