Im trying to picture an open top bus parading around coventry with Mr Shaw leading us back up to the championship! Although i would rather see someone with a bit of experience take charge of us, its a nice little dream...............

I just dont like the bloke or his style of play. Of course being a fickle football fan if were top at xmas and he was at the helm he'd be the best thing since sliced bread :D

There's a worse one in my opinion...

...If Steve Cotterill comes near the Ricoh Arena I won't be.

Bound sure to be Carsley and Richard Shaw isn't it?

Honeymoon period will kick in, the results will pick up and then they will be given until the end of the season.

This is what I expect to happen, although I worry they wouldn't be up to the job long term, much like what happened with Thorn.

We say this every time but we really need to get the manager decision right this time. IMO we haven't had a decent one since Nilsson. Wish there was a Di Canio type available as the other options all sound like they would end up getting sacked 12/18 months down the line.

Quite like the idea of Graham Alexander for some reason. Has no managerial experience but remember reading he is keen to get into management and is a model pro, they absolutely love him at Preston. No idea if he's a good manager, although I would be tempted to give him a go if he applied. He's from Cov so there's a chance he would want to come here.

I'd have Nilsson or Dowie back. Both out of work and in our top 3 managers since relegation stats wise.

Dowries stats are not better than Adams and Coleman - he has a better win ratio but a much worse loss ratio and points per game is pretty much even Stevens between the three of them

Experience of this league and indeed management, is what we need desperately no time to give someone a "go" I'm afraid.

Was just a thought. Swindon took a punt on Di Canio and it's worked well for them. No guarantees obviously but I think Alexander has the attributes make a good manager. He's vastly experienced and respected in the game, and always comes across as very thoughtful and intelligent. Being from Cov he'd also have an affinity to the club, so if we're looking for a leader to galvanize the club, he could be an option.

Most likely we'll end up with Shaw as manager anyway, unless we have someone else lined up... would love Tisdale but I think he's probably too sensible to come here!

I think we will have someone lined up and budgeted for. Where does this cheap option come from? Ranson was going to appoint Robbins but then thorn got the job mainly as the fans wanted him.

Well some of the fans anyway.

Even I, as a Thorn apologist, think that now he's gone there's no room to f*ck about.

We have talented players - we now need a tactician.

Good luck Andy; I liked your style of play and ability in the transfer market.
