What happened next?...My prediction is there will be more questions than answers.
It's been nearly 2 years now since the Warwick University "plan" was announced, what's been happening in that time? Where is the outline planning permission? Where is the planning permission? Why are you continuing to try and take people for mugs David?
It's exactly what he said, the push for top six is my own take on it.You surely aren't serious that Boddy said that this evening?

CorrectSo he just said the aim is to stay up? Not the top six thing?

Reminds me of a bad joke ..Why’s Jesus weeping? What was the question?
After staying up it has to be play offs not top half. Nothing wrong with top half and it's a great achievement but means fek all in reality. Would be worthwhile if they put money for each finishing place like in the Premier league.playing with words
Of course the number 1 priority is staying up
Number 2 is top half, and the target is probably the play offs
It's not sensible at all. Anyone with an iota of sense knows that's an idiotic and concerning comment to make after the season we've just had.
Unless they were a CBInteresting a potential European signing flew over to watch the Bournemouth game and toured around the stadium. Shit game for them to watch!
Don't think they were last yearAren't early bird extended every year?
No that was the tier 1 elite restrictionDon't think they were last year
Come on platt , most people on this forum have already resigned us to being the 22/23 barnsley .Oh right, so we are not looking to improve or maintain our position from this season?
I think it's more throwing caution to damper the expectations a little. If he says we want a top 10 team then he knows that he should provide a top 10 budget which is beyond us (finances almost always dictate). Where we've done well is in management getting everything out of the players and the recruitment to deliver above budget expectations which in all reality will be a bottom 10 budget again next season. I'm sure they say different things privately to publicly.
Maybe he still thinks we're going to win the play offs this season.Surely he didn’t say the target next season is to avoid relegation

How would that work, next season isn't it segregated from the concourse, maybe we are buying the ground in stages lol as a previous poster mentions we own the club shop and ticket office. Wasp only need the Main stand really anyway!Wonder if we'll own the safe standing we are looking at?
We actually own the club shop and ticket office, first time we have exclusively owned any part of the stadium.
Maybe they have bought it for next to nothing as part of the return to the Ricoh deal, what have they to lose.I am confused by this comment from Boddy
- CCFC have a 10 year agreement to be at the stadium why would you want to "own" the retail premises for longer than that
- the intention is to move to our own stadium (at least 10 years away from now apparently but isn't that 12+ years from announcing the project?) so why would you "own" part of the stadium. Does that perhaps give more away than Boddy intended?
- wasps don't own the freehold so the best they could offer is a sub lease isn't it. They wouldn't however want to be carving bits of the asset off whilst they are refinancing surely?
- wasps surely wouldn't lock themselves in to something that could be redundant but not in their control in 8 years time when main lease expires, or be forced to buy it back
- it may be rent free, or peppercorn ground rent rather than an annual commercial rent
I suspect that CCFC have 365 day pa sub lease of the retail premises, which would mean that wasps have no day to day operational involvement in those retail premises areas. I would also think that it ties in with the length of the main lease. I doubt it means that CCFC could do major interior or exterior changes without the landlords approval. I would think that there is still service charge contributions to be made and all running costs of that retail area are CCFC liability. CCFC have control of that small area - like formal ownership would bring
But owning part of the stadium long term? not sure i see that
In terms of next seasons ambitions, i have a feeling that Boddy got the emphasis in what he said wrong
Probably should have said is probably more like " first we need to make sure we stay in the Championship but of course we want to push on from this season, build and to finish higher is the aim "
