Huddersfield going to batter us

Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

No real reason why. Sorba Thomas injured. For me it's only O'Brien who is a quality player, Have a couple of other decent players and play a good style, but we made them look very average at their place.

We dominated Huddersfield at their place, one of our best performances this season , we just didn't take our chances

Huddersfield one of the few teams to benefit from not having their season massively disrupted by Covid. We played one league game in a month, while they didn’t miss a game. I’m sure that’s had a positive effect on their season.

Huddersfield will be looking at who could finish in the playoff places and think they should lose to avoid a team that could cause them problems to get to the Wembley play off final

Saw a post on BBC regarding Huddersfield's squad:

Not bad for a club who's main squad of 17 includes 7 free transfers, 2 loanees, 2 Academy lads and the sum total of the other 6 bought ..£2,2m... Well done the Terriers..

Is this a model we should be folowing? They were struggling under Carlos Corberán for a couple of seasons

Do we not already do similar? And have been for much longer? They have only been going down the "affordable/sustainable" route for this & last season as their Parachute Payments are drying up.

Whilst it sounds impressive written like that, it took a huge write off of bad investments to get there.
In 2019/20 they were signing players like Isaac Mbenza for £11m & subsequently releasing him for nothing, same with £10m for Alex Pritchard the previous season etc. etc.

What they are doing this season is definitely exceptional though & that's down to Corberan who is a very good manager. Their ownership do deserve credit for sticking with him when the going was tough last season admittedly but even then there were positive signs.

Given that not all of those players will be in promoted teams, surely they will be more likely to be transfer targets than our “ big three”, plus there are lots more decent players ahead of ours.
Who is building our lot up so much to sell them? Hmmmm

I don’t tend to take too much notice of goalkeepers but that Nicholls has been excellent whenever I’ve seen him, kept them in the game at their place

All the outfield players come from three teams maybe a limit for each team would make it more interesting. I think Wilson was lucky to get in before the Forest guy.

I'd be so happy if forest sneaked autos and Bournemouth fucked the playoffs , see that smug twat Parker cry
Only problem is we'd have to put up having them kick lumps out of us twice next season and getting away with it.

Forest looking the likely to get automatic , crazy
Still very possible for Huddersfield.

I thought they might rest a few players on Saturday, but not now. Think they'll go all out for the three points if it stays this way.

Should make for an interesting game.

Would have to be one of the biggest failures of all time by Scott Parker given the quality (& expense) of that Bournemouth side. Never really understood the attraction of him as a manager tbh.

Joel Piroe is a quite exceptional player btw.

Parker is wildly overrated as a manager.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if they blew it.

As it stands , Wigan and Rotherham promoted to the championship ( Rotherham need a huge defeat on last day to knacker it )

Parker is the new Chris Coleman, many parallels
