I had a weird admiration of them sticking it to the big boys, the intimidation tactics and way they had total disregard for anyone

I remember seeing them up at HR, they beat us…possibly 0-2. I remember being impressed just how big they were. Lawrie Sanchez, Fashanu and co absolutely bullied us and looked decent as well.

Despite their ‘rough-housing’ They used to produce/have a lot of good players…wise, Fashanu, scales, Barton, winterburn, Young, Earle.
I never understood why we didn’t sign Robbie Earle. He was always on midlands today having scored for Port Vale. Him and Darren Beckford.
