Yeah I wouldn't do anywhere near him, same goes for the vast majority of their players.
I think a lot of their players would be a better fit for a team that tries to play football. Look at Forest, got rid of Hughton who encouraged some turgid football and bought in a manager that likes to play decent football. The same group of players that were shite under Hughton’s abysmal stewardship fired Forest into the playoffs

What's the betting that Bowyer pisses off out of Birmingham in the summer and Hughton replaces him. Wouldn't be shocked

Doesn't seem he will be signing

It's not really all that much of a surprise given yesterday's articles in the press.

His agent is quite clearly trying to drum up interest and get the best deal for him - which is of course his job. But I think that probably suggests his next club probably won't be us.

Stats back this up, we won for more points per game with him in the side than without him.
I think JCS is a very good player and would be delighted by signing him but I think a lot of this will be becasue losing him we are then down to hardly any defenders.

A lot of the games he'd have been missing we'll have had Dabo filling in at RCB or Bidwell at LCB so a result of both him being a very good player and our squad depth in that area being terrible.

We got more poins per game with a naturally left footed CB than without is the point.
If he doesn't sign I'm sure we will replace him.

First post 🖐 Season ticket holder as a kid - right through the 90s and in to the 00s. What an exciting season we've had, hoping for more next yr. Nice to meet you all..

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is a name that keeps coming up at Crystal Palace. Plays as a winger, beats players for fun, and scores a lot of goals.. v exciting talent.

Thoughts on whether a loan with us could be a great for both us and him? I personally think Cov is now a great option for the best prem u23s looking for champ moves... given the attractive way we play.

Depends if Palace would be willing to loan him to a team that doesn't play wingers.

Really solid CB at this level but we can't really afford to have a player with his injury record and salary expectations on our books.
Agreed. He was decent, but no better than Fadz or Hyam across the season. We need to look at League 1 / Relegated Championship left footed centre halves, of which I am sure there a few.

Good point! knew it would be the first response :)

He looks fantastic - just not ideal that the position doesn't quite fit us - at best maybe play him inside right, just off Gyok. Risk on Palace to lend, or us to consider shape change. Ultimately agree might not be the best fit though..

I'd just love to see us going for the absolute best prem u23s given how well Maatsen has gone.
