Frank Lampard stepping forward with all his managerial experience to save a massive club from relegation? I stand by what I said. Luckily and realistically there are two really poor teams in Norwich and Watford to take up 19th and 20th. Everton are struggling to escape 18th. They may well survive but I do think the job was too big for him. I own what I said, like you own your support in Kenny Jackett, sacked by Leyton Orient.

But this is a championship thread, go back to polluting the non footballing threads, eh.

im talking about football and looking at the responses regarding lampard most who responded agreed with me - you seem very prickly

Apparently Kirchner has exchange contracts to buy Derby .

.

and on another note

what are QPR thinking lol
Former England and Arsenal defender Sol Campbell, 47, is set to be interviewed for the Queens Park Rangers manager's job, vacated by Mark Warburton. (Talksport)

Would be a surprising appointment for sure, but not sure how much you can read into Campbell’s managerial record so far, he’s been at two complete basket cases.

Surely that is a positive thing? Is there not a rule that clubs have to interview ethnic minority candidates now? I fail to see why Campbell is less deserving of a chance than anyone else?

Didn’t Campbell do relatively well at a club he was at?

He’s had 2 of the worst jobs in football yet his colleagues Lampard and Gerrard have walked into top jobs.

Still look at the response above. The headline stating a black manager is being interviewed and the response is ‘what are they thinking lol’. It’s so sad that football has such a long way to travel in this area

which is true, the clubs he managed before were shite.

its got nothing to do with the colour of his skin u cretin or is it disora or warthog. its the fact that they have sacked Warburton for a club trying to achieve promotion to the premier league and looking to interview an ex manager who hasn't got the right "qualities" going by his past record.

Campbell is somewhat bonkers and a walking ego with no track record

How do you obtain the ‘qualities’ when you don’t receive the same opportunities as your white counterparts?

I don’t know what a Disora is and I hope warthog isn’t a racist remark? I’m gonna withdraw myself from this conversation now it doesn’t feel right. I hope you didn’t mean what you said in the way it came across sorry if I got it wrong

Sol Campbell is a fairly outspoken and difficult character - it’s not just a black v white debate in his case. He’s a right wing political activist and an oddball

The 1966 World Cup winners - all white - with one exception really made hopeless managers when they tried. Paul ince and Wayne Rooney are fairly equal aren’t they?

Oddball??? We’ve got politicians of all persuasions left and right from all English speaking countries who can’t tell you what a woman is and he’s an oddball?

It's possible to simultaneously hold the opinions that black managers are woefully under represented in football and that Campbell would be a strange appointment as he seems to be a bit of an oddball, I know I do.
He’s not odd he’s just not a nice guy full of himself. The question of black managers is strange because I know if I owned a football club I would get the best manager that I could regardless of race or colour.

Fair to say managers need a lot of self belief however.

tbf, Everton are in a mess partly because of years of mismanagement at board level, and Benitez hurrying along the process of decline.

I admire your persistence. Do you have to create a new email every time?

I don't want to discus anything with a weird troll like yourself either

i just laugh at you
