First question was Ann a divisive figure or was it the situatin

answer

she was and is a divisive figure

lol
Ann contributed to making the situation so divisive.

IMO she held a personal vendetta against the club and owners after the Marlon King affair and did whatever she could to get one back on us.

She’s a hypocrite because she rightly called out our move to Northampton. Then she was leader of a council that brought a London rugby club 80 miles from their base in a move even worse than ours.
Her actions were indefensible and without any integrity.

Called it out but also contributed to it. Not absolving sisu or the club of blame but it took 2 parties for the Ricoh situation to go the way it did.

Looks like their mega plan of coventry becoming a rugby city has failed , and the stadium would always have been better In the hands of the football club ..

Fuck them

Wonder what they spent their backhanders on

Let's be clear , they didn't just shaft CCFC , they shafted CRFC too

Is there one? I don’t know I used to be heavily invested but now I’m not sure who the potential leaders are
Not a trade unionist for a start, someone with a business nous would be good The football club is the biggest supported business in the Coventry and Warwickshire which hopefully all our pensioners, workers and school children can go and support the football club which takes the cities name, those leaders had no regard for that.

There is one person in Binley and Willenhall who could do this. It would depend on if he throws his hat into the ring for councillor, and the local party realising what an asset they actually have on their hands.

Wasn’t he that patronising bellend on here? There’s probably a few of us who fit that bill though.

He threatened me once - told me to watch it - family of lawyers don’t you know

I spoke to him personally at the only Trust meeting I ever went to in 2013. Had no idea who he was till he went on stage

Yeah. I can actually understand how, with the hassle of the football club at the time, you'd want to wash your hands of anything to do with it. CRFC however...?

Most of the historic labour movement locally cut their teeth in the trade union movement

Dear God no.

Asked him a few questions about Ethics when he was doing equalities. Didn't have a clue.

I hold no malice towards her to be honest, as I've said many times before her decision making is driven by the advice given by her officers who will slant it however they like.

I think for me having heard loads of stuff over this I’m left thinking why as a fan in a position of influence you would be a part of a decision that has such a catastrophic impact on the club you love

Just to put some words to Ann Lucas's time as leader as described by supporters of Coventry Labour.

‘autocratic’, ‘dogmatic’ and ‘undemocratic’

Lets be honest. Like all labour leaders she was a rough as fuck and thick as pigshit. She was horribly out of her depth - admittedly she inherited this clusterfuck from the likes of Jon fletcher - an inept leader who thought he actually had a brain (he didn’t) and subsequent morons like Ken Taylor but she’s Peggy Mitchell except she wasn’t even capable of serving in the pub let alone owning it

Thick as fuck
FFS…. sick of all the smoke and mirrors and hidden meanings… can you just say what you think Grendel

I think she genuinely thought that she was raising the profile of Coventry. But she just didn’t have the acumen to make that decision. But like the over promoted people at work who might be good administrators…they and she are often out their depth. I hold no malice…. In Anne’s simple world she was making the right decision… but feck me she backed the wrong horse.
