I remember the McKinnon stuff which was pretty shameful.
I also knew about his extreme left beginnings - the same as Blair and his Bennitte CND Marxist stage
He’s a chameleon like Blair and Cameron - unlike Blair his acting is Crossroads standard compared to Golden Globe Blair
Looking at his reluctance to prosecute MI5 torturers is somewhat disturbing

None of us are going to forgive Johnson for what went on in lockdown . Ever. Neither are we stupid enough to not realise that by failing to get rid of him after the report the whole cabinet is effectively endorsing what he did.
Come the general election they will regret that .

That's genuinely shocking and it's a tragedy that the majority of the public don't know what this government are doing (bar newspaper and TV headlines which never cover things like this).

There probably is one, but they have been hidden on the back benches, so us the general public don't know who they are. Makes you wonder if he has deliberately chosen inept sycophants, party so they can't stand out as being more competent than him. As soon as Rishi started getting positive headlines, Johnson stopped using him for press conferences, etc, he was MIA for about 3 months.

100%. That’s one of my major problems with politics, especially in recent times. Better quality on back rather than front benches, which is just wrong.
It reflects society to some extent. Narrowing of views, no willingness to be challenged or have debate. That’s no way to run a country

I agree with this, and yet you and many others voted for this man. Own it.
What does ‘own it’ even mean ?! Once you make a decision you cant question your choice ? Or you cant change your view on something or a person ?
My vote in the last election, whoever I voted for, was irrelevant as I’m in a strong Labour seat. The majority of the country was given a choice though, Johnson or Corbyn, not ideal for most. Nobody knows what will then happen, who will be in the cabinets, what, if any parts of the manifesto will be implemented or how someone will govern ?
It might go against the boards majority view but I couldn’t vote for Corbyn for my own reasons but that’s the past and is irrelevant now. While we know he wouldnt have conducted himself like Johnson (I can’t imagine an equivalent of Partygate under his watch for example !), none of us know for sure whether he would’ve been better or worse.
Surely you should be more concerned about people blindly supporting someone through all their errors and faults, rather than someone who might question them ?
Ps if ‘own it’, ‘live with it’ ‘it’s your fault’ is Labour/lefts attitude in the red wall seats at the next election, they can forget. There should be attempting to understand why people voted Tory, many for the first time and address their concerns to win them back.

'Own it' means accept that voting for the criminal clown was a mistake. Johnson I feel confident in calling the worst PM since 1945, and his track record across his life told you he would turn out pretty much as he has done. At this moment in time I'm not a Labour voter either and my vote went elsewhere last time I had the choice. It likely still will in 2024. I just think if you vote for a criminal PM on the basis of a 3 word slogan you sort of lose the right to complain afterwards.
On the PS, there is no reasoning with people who blame Labour for the central government ignoring their towns/cities/regions and cutting everything in sight. Nor is there any reasoning with people in former industrial towns voting for the party that tossed it all in the bin a few decades prior. You said it yourself-it's a reflection of society. People don't care about policies, technicalities or the nitty gritty, just what is slapped on the front of the product once every 5 years-then they genuinely wonder why the elected officials are as they are.
You'd be right to tell me I should be less cynical-but a hell of a lot of people should be a hell of a lot more cynical too.
I don't know, so many of them are so invested in the cult of Boris.
They're willing to debase themselves on TV every day and back criminal behaviour all in the name of Dear Leader.
