He moved his leg to avoid the foul. If he left the leg there it would have been given. Should have been a pen either way imo.

I'm still not sure if there was contact or not from the replays. Certainly not enough contact for the way his leg moved.

I think that was a penalty but there was no way VAR was going to over rule the ref in a game of this magnitude!

Looked a pen to me
He landed on the ball too, usually a sign you've been taken out and haven't had the chance to adjust and land safely

If Huddersfield lose this they will feel like they've been robbed and it's hard to argue they haven't

I know I’m biased but we play such better football than both of these. I appreciate we got done by both but I think our blueprint will be effective long term. Been a low quality game this

You can't start giving fouls for avoiding contact though. Opens up all sorts of routes for cheating.

If a defender comes through at knee high and is going to break your leg, and you move your leg out of the way to avoid contact, the player should still get sent off and a penalty be given. You can't expect the player to just stand there to take the contact.

It’s a play off final, not really comparable to a game in the league season
