So would Wagehorn.....Vik would do extremely well in the SPL I'd imagine .

I'd be amazed if we got more than £15m but as a guide apparently Forest have been quoted £15m for Keinan Davis.£15m would be more than fair, to expect £25m is madness IMO, nobody would pay that
If we want big money we probably need to hold him until at least Jan 23. At the moment he’s had one excellent season, he needs to add at least half a season more before clubs will pay £20m in my view.Anything less than £10m would be a huge disappointment. He’s just scored 16 Championship goals, that’s the kind of fee these players go for.

We need to get a reality check. The guys has has one decent season.
maximum £10 million made up of instalments and add on’s
we would be lucky to get £5 million upfront
How many decent seasons did Watkins and McBurnie have?

Then we shouldn’t do the dealWe need to get a reality check. The guys has has one decent season.

What a player is worth should be dictated by the selling club. We should want to keep Gyokeres, not sell him on the cheap to do a favour to Fulham or Middlesbrough. What a player is worth is dictated by the level of club interested in him. At the moment it’s reported to be Fulham and Middlesbrough, not big spenders

Watkins did reach double figures in 3 championship seasons
Just. In the first two of those seasons he scored 10 in over 40 matches.Watkins did reach double figures in 3 championship seasons
Brewster went to Sheff Utd for £24M after scoring 11 goals in the Championship. £15M is the least we should accept imo.We need to get a reality check. The guys has has one decent season.

He was what, 19 at the time? So that’s understandableBrewster went to Sheff Utd for £24M after scoring 11 goals in the Championship. £15M is the least we should accept imo.
Is it? Makes it seem even more irrational to me.He was what, 19 at the time? So that’s understandable
Of course, greater potentialIs it? Makes it seem even more irrational to me.
Yep he was seen as the next big thing at Liverpool, just a shame it never worked for him at SU in the Premiership.Of course, greater potential
Mcburnie 17 million oh my days!Yes, he was a one in 4 striker for2 seasons, he had his breakout season at around the same age as Vik.
And I'm not saying Viks as good as Watkins was which is why I'm not saying we should be asking for the same fee. But there's no way Watkins was twice the player Vik is now when he went for that money and neither was McBurnie.
Rangers legend!So would Wagehorn.....
Good lets outpice our assetsBecause no one will pay that much who’d want him
McBurnie was done pre COVID - money more accessibleHow many decent seasons did Watkins and McBurnie have?
Good lets outpice our assets
I'm split. I don't think Gyokeres is a goalscorer as such, so think the past season is as good as we'd get from him. That doesn't diminish his value to the team even if he didn't get as many goals, but might well dininish his monetary value if his profile went down.
But... he'd be bloody hard to replace, and although I'm all for a strategy of sell one to improve many positions, it'd be a proper challenge to give us that bite he gives us, and the outlet.
I don’t think getting promoted is on the clubs agenda
It would be a step backwards for his career.
And so he should be - all part and parcel of being the team manager. Especially at this club and with full knowledge of the tendencies of the owners.Very disappointing if true, looks as though MR is going to be very busy, especially if he manages to shift Walker and Waghorn
A nea
I don’t get why it wouldn’t be, SISU would probably have a return on their investment even if we had one solitary season in the Premier League
McBurnie was done pre COVID - money more accessible
Watkins scored 26 in his final season with Brentford
On the ball as ever AnnAlan Nixon reporting interest in Vik and it may get to a level that makes it happen.
What asset did we sell last season then ?The club needs to sell an asset every season and that’s been made clear
You have your opinion, I have mineSo the answer is Watkins had one good season.
And again, he went for 28. I'm saying 15 for Vik which is almost half. No way that's unreasonable.
