He also doesn’t want anyone who looks better than him. He almost fucked up with Sunak but he came good in the end. Sunak played the long game. The good news for Boris is he drained the Tory gene pool at the last election so successfully he was able to appoint Nadine Dorries to the cabinet and no one was able to criticise the decision based on there being someone else in the party who was better qualified. What the literal fuck have we done.

It’s all the Remainstream medias fault. They made Boris break the rules, cheat on his wives, lie repeatedly, lurch from one disaster to the next, surround himself with idiots etc etc.

They weren’t complaining when the same media hounded Corbyn as a budding Nazi or wrote spreads about Ed Miliband’s dead father

The affairs and marriage thing is a bit of a red herring - unless you are sleeping with spies or people who are working for you it’s irrelevant

Yeah it probably deserves the piss ripping out of him for it, but I won't hold it against his politics mainly because, unlike Major's government, he doesn't tell other people how to run their lives in that way.

(Of course, that's why parties end up relevant to me!)

He’d probably go up in a few peoples estimations !!

As NW indicated with Major, it’s not like Johnson tries to hold himself up as the beacon of virtue.

I think that’s what people miss sometimes. We’re a tolerant country and most will give people passes for their behaviours, we’re all human afterall, but what pisses them off is hypocrisy and lying, hence the uproar about partygate. It wasn’t the parties and the risk of Covid transmission that bothered people, it was the fact that No 10 made and implemented the rules and then lied

I doubt people would be saying that if he was working class, or black for that matter. We all know Dominic Raabs views on the working class and he thinks we’re all a bunch of Boris’ with a giro and big screen TV.

It’s absolutely relevant and key questions would be asked when looking to work for security services or at a higher security level. It’s about blackmail and ability to be used to do something against the interest of the work.
So maybe he has been open and honest about all of his infidelity, if not it’s absolutely relevant to ask

His private life is also a complete reflection of his “professional” life. Breaks promises, lies, cheats, chaotic, manipulative, self serving etc etc etc. It also always ends in tears. Not his, just the plethora of victims he leaves in his wake. If he can shit on his own children he can shit on anyone. The warning signs were always there.

Do you really think the Daily Mail or Daily Express would be tolerant of any Labour leader who'd had five children with other women whilst married?

Who'd been sacked for lying?

Who wrote overtly racist comments, in his regular columns.

Who ditched his security detail to attend a bunga-bunga party with the son of a KGB agent, and then handed out honours to the same?

I was just saying how I think some people (not press) view behaviours and leeway that some will give

The right and left leaning press will always lean towards supporting their own up to a point

I’ve seen plenty of negative/damning articles from right as well as left leaning press about Johnson. They’re just not usually front page which they would be in the left leaning papers or if roles were reversed
