We may announce the European signing, if it happened that is, or maybe someone we don't know about.

I think Palmer is still on holiday, probably announce him when he gets back
Most players will be on holiday, I think the transfer window officially opens tomorrow so I expect the weekend things will start to materialise. I’m sure pre-season starts early July this season which kicks off early.

To be fair the outs are already decent

Shipley
Jones
Pask
Drysdale

If we can add Dacosta/ Reid to that list then you've got to say the deadwood has gone

Are they decent outgoings? Their combined wages probably amount to the club being able to bring in one player.

Dacosta nor Reid are the priorities. Walker, Waghorn, Kelly and now apparently Kane are.

Well yes, id say so. Were able to bring in one decent player in Palmer with that instead of 4 players that barely sniffed the squad let alone starting 11

It's a positive that the above players have moved on to make way for Palmer coming on board but I think it's pretty obvious that without moving on Waghorn, Walker and Kelly especially that Robins' manoeuvrability in the window is going to be nothing short of restricted - even if/when a player is sold.

But as I said in an ideal world players like the above would be moved on and better players brought in, but it isn’t an ideal world is it and they are experienced players our squad has to be stronger than last season to compete at the business end of the division.

Oh i agree, you'd like to think though (maybe wishful) that being that we as fans have done our bit, record ST sales, merchandise sales, average attendance way higher than they banked on, that MR will have a bit more to play with

Especially after his interview recently where he said the owner is looking at extra financial investment for him

Thing i think we all agree on is were not far away. Probably 4 or 5 decent players from a major play off push

GK - Moore, Wilson
DEF - Dabo, Kane, Fadz, Hyam, Rose, Bidwell
MID- Hamer, Sheaf, Allen, Kelly, Palmer, OHare
ST- Gyok, Godden, Walker, Waghorn Tavares

That's a very decent base to start from

Defence looks weak, but as we say, adding 2 decent CB, and LWB, another CM and a pacy Striker and I really think we can make more of a push than we did this year

But again, as you say, We need to move on Kane, Kelly, Waghorn and Walker

The playing budget may have increased slightly due to the price/numbers increase of ST sales. But any growth in the club's turnover isn't likely to be particularly significant anyway and there's the renovation to Ryton's pitches to factor in.

Regardless, the budget will be the budget and any player sale isn't likely to result in a shift to that position. It'll at best just complement it.

We're not far away, but it entirely depends on what the squad looks like come the end of the window.

Every year our transfer funds seem to be diverted to something else. We’ve had to do up the lodge, pay for the shop and “unexpected costs” of returning to the arena and now this season it’s relaying the training pitch.

How about the owners make the club functional and let the manager keep his transfer budget for buying players and paying them?
