Seems harsh to be dropped not because of your footballing ability, but because you're a bit lacking in social skills at 18-19!

He is 21 and playing in the sixth tier of English football tbf, I did read a couple of League 2 clubs have shown interest but obviously still way behind the level we need

Was gonna say,so he could be the best young player the club’s ever had & they‘d kick him out just because he’s too shy shy?
Are we just going to keep talking about Newton forever likes it the Neverending Story.

Reid may still kick on if he gets a chance pre-season
Newton definitely looked a player but he was a very shy and quiet lad which probably counted against him

Basically that's all I'm saying, hes literally just turned 20 last month, hes got time to develop further.

Jack Burroughs
Tom Billson
Blaine Rowe
Ricardo Dinanga
Cian Taylor
Danny Cashman

Are all older than him, Bapaga also turns 20 in a few months. I just think its harsh to label someone who has just turned 20 as deadwood.

It’s more where he’s going to play

Asked how the Scot is progressing, Robins told CoventryLive: “For what we want from that position, he is more of a left sided centre-half and more of a left-back.

As a wing-back, not necessarily, but as a left-back, certainly he is improving. He is doing well with the Under-23s, his attitude is very good and he’s certainly got good strength and build.

Tbf I would suggest it's the exact same for Bapaga and Burroughs who are meant to be two of the better talents...
Burroughs played every position going, out on loan this year... Career will suffer if he doesn't nail down a position.

And given Bapaga appears to base himself off the left and come in, how does that fit in....

Lars Dendoncker

Brother of the Wolves player, released by Brighton, played loads in their u23 season before last, had a poor loan in Scotland this season.

Same agent as loads of our players, former Belgian youth international centre back.

Sounds like when we got Reece Brown on the basis of him being Wes’ brother *shudder*

Sheaf strikes me as a similar personality but lets his football do the talking. Which really is all that should matter

Really surprised there isn't more focus on defensive targets here. We didn't keep anywhere near enough clean sheets last year and only bettering 7 teams in the goals against column.

It's the area that requires the biggest level of investment. Think a top quality CB is necessary even if we sign JCS-I still think there is better than JCS out there too, I like him, but his injury history is pretty poor.

I agree with many on here with regards to depth etc. But in terms of where we outright need to improve as of right now you would have to say CB and LWB (although I think Bidwell will be a different player with a pre-season behind him.)

CB reinforcements are desperately needed.

If McFadzean opts to move on we're down to two recognised CBs.
