Probably another special project like the £5 million porch or whatever it cost.
I would suggest if there's a new development in this saga and its positive news there would be no need to speak to bondholders. For example if the news tomorrow is they're getting paid its not really worth getting anyone on, if the news is there's a major problem then you'll get some mileage out of bondholders.

Although history suggests anything being hyped up as a new development is likely to be nothing.

Five celebrities you didn't know were Wasps fans.

There's been some dissent which they've tried to brush under the carpet, so logic says the next move will probably be the propaganda machine spinning up. It wouldn't surprise me at all if there is some 'positive' Wasps themed story being crafted as we speak.

I for one welcome the input of our new Wasps friend.

I dislike the club and will be as pleased as anyone else on here if/when they fail... but a bit of insight (however much we may disagree with their points) is welcome.... otherwise its just us gloating every time they lose or have a poor attendance.

Some of the hostility towards him is pretty uncalled for.

It’s not really insight though. Just like the rest of their lot that have tried signing up they don’t have a simple grasp of the basics.

Seems like a PR person to me. Totally toeing the line. Maybe I am wrong, Maybe I am not. Won't be the first time we have had one on here.

I have always classed Gilbert as a quality Journalist. He won't get two bondholders on with counter views and quote them both. He will look out of the window and see what's going on. :).

There is a new development and if you read between the lines on Wasps told bondholders about having to source the bond from many sources it might click

From a bondholder perspective surely the news is either you're getting your money or you're not. Would you really care where they were having to borrow it from or how many sources there are?

Im certainly not anything in PR 😂 (wish I was) ….Just a bloke in his 60’s with too much time on his hands at the moment.

Interesting to see what comes out of the BBC today. … let’s see !

Its not the "insight" we want to hear, but i suspect its probably the views of the majority of "dedicated" Wasps fans round here.

And as much as it pains me to say it, he's dead right about the vast majority of Cov/Warks public not giving a toss about it.... clearly i think its an absolute scandal that they moved here, as do the vast majority of City fans... But a heavy majority of the Cov population don't give much of a toss about CCFC let alone the detailed issues behind it, and couldn't care a jot about franchising or "sporting integrity".

There's a lot of us who are dead against it but i'm afraid we are a significant minority, rather than the "vast majority of Cov public".

Incidentally, i notice on social media, a lot of people who were happy to broadcast to all that they were going along to Wasps when things were going well, are the same people who are turning up to the Ricoh now that we are "good", with PUSB sprayed all over their social media pages.... also common is that most of them claim to be Liverpool/Manchester United fans :D ...........

Your analysis is equally skewed.

The facts are in Coventry (population 370k)

A proportion of the population actively it dislike them (say 10%)
A bigger proportion do not care
A smaller proportion actively support (<2%)
That's 98% of the general population that either dislike or don't care about Wasps

I'm just leaving this here as context for what's to come

You only have to look at the response in the city to any success we have compared to any success they have.

I had to google to find out but since they've been here they've reached the play off final twice and it hasn't registered at all with the vast majority of people in the city. Compare that the out Wembley appearances or league win.

Tells you everything you need to know.

Was it £10m of the initial bond used to repay Richardson?
Yeah, he used a bunch to pay himself back and then a bunch for the first few sets of interest payments.

The losses have also been offset by league shares and catering being sold.

I can see why they are struggling to refinance.

You are probably spot on, reality being we'll never get closer than an educated guess.

But that's pretty much what I've said all along and been shot down for it +/- 90% don't care. Rather than some on here who feel 90% of the population despise Wasps, just not true.

Are those figures a shock to anyone ? Football is and always will be far more popular than rugby, I don't think anyone has ever disputed that.

If you are saying there are 7400 active supporters from Coventry alone, plus some from the wider area, plus existing long term supporters, plus neutrals, plus fair weather supporters when they play well. That's actually not a bad number !
