Be interesting to see how he does, he looked amazing in that one game and then clueless other games.

I honestly wish him all the best. He came with some positive reports and his first games covering for Dabz were good, though not groundbreaking. Whether he felt disinclined after being dropped upon Dabz' return, I don't know but he needs to push on with the effort and ability he's shown previously. Otherwise, he'll be back in the bomb squad.

He won't be back in the bomb squad, this loan takes him to the end of his contract when he'll be released by us.

If anything this is his last chance in England and a failure to capitalise will mean he is back in the French regionals or a similar poor quality league.

I heard that we offered DaCosta during the Shipperz negotiations
Suspect we're paying part of his wages as initially they weren't interested

We have a January recall clause in the loan agreement.

But I hope it works out for him. I hope all the ex players do well there.

I suppose if he does well there, we have scope to call him back & arrange a loan post Jan for a better % of his salary. Probably like when Giles was at Shrews, then moved to us... minus the 5 year contract extension!!!

To be fair...he had a bad foot injury as well not long after he arrived if memory serves me right. I know he saw a decent specialist in London.

Think we can safely say we haven’t seen a player like DaCosta before and probably won’t after. But you know what, credit to him for making the switch over here during COVID, with a young family in tow, and wanting to try a higher level.

If he rediscovers his crossing ability and learns that his position isn’t in the opposition corner arc then who knows
