All I know is

-20% of Ukraine is under Russian control
- Ukraine is being led down shit creek by Biden without a paddle .
- Nato won't be getting that land back for Ukraine
- Ukraine don't have the power to take it back

What's the answer?

End the fucking war
No apparently the west is going to mass produce loads of very expensive weapons in a very short space of time and send them all to Ukraine

So the way to deal with bullies is to give the bullies what they want?

Yep, great plan. Never fails.

This isn't like ww2 as unlike back then , no other army is entering Ukraine to drive Russia back , and they won't either

I know PVA will tell me that Ukraine will drive them back , but respectfully my friend they aren't strong enough and should negotiate on salvaging the country they still have now .
But the point is they won't have a country to salvage. Putin will take it all and it will cease to exist.

Ukraine should use some of their rockets and twat them at Moscow. It seems completely bizarre that they haven't. If we were being invaded and we had the means to, I wouldn't worry too much about trying to be the 'good guys' if our people were being murdered like this.

...which would prove Grendel wrong and the rest of us right, as we said he wouldn't be happy with a little bit of Ukraine.

This is like Tim Fisher and the honesty test

100% agree but Ukraine don't have those weapons, that is why they are asking for them.

Johnson for whatever reason is one of the few leaders who seems particularly interested in the war and what to do.

Macron and Shultz really want it all to go away with minimal fuss and Biden is predictably asleep at the wheel

Macron is the only one who kept talking to Putin

......France is the biggest foreign employer in russia, one of its biggest oil/gas customers & was one of the last western nations to put pressure on French businesses to withdraw or even scale down its profit making activities in russia......

The blokes got more faces than the town clock.....

Is grenners pretending to be a military expert? He's already a bash at politics, economics and football and failed at them. Why shouldn't he try the military as well?
Youre our in house, IRA hugging, para-military expert . You should know.

There was talk that if Ukraine have/had been provided with such weapons it would be on the agreement that they can’t be fired into Russia for fears of starting WW3

Or alternatively they could take the remainder of the country and trade with other countries not in on the economic sanctions. Carve up what was Ukraine into whatever they like and they have permanently wiped it off the map as intended.
This is why Zelensky needs to get a reality check. He has to face facts that the Russinan population are historically used to slumming it and are a lot more brainwashed and suffer in silence than the rest of the EU. Putin will keep up the cannon fodder and surpress the casualty lists, its part of their remit, while slowly grinding Ukraine into submission. Unless some kind of deal is done, long term Ukraine will become a ruin as we can't support them forever.

Ukraine I believe has taken the first step towards EU membership? If that's not a bluff I'd thought it was a risky step without some appeasement to Putin (to save face for both him and the kremlin). Perhaps Zelensky may be told he'll have to give up the East for some kind of permanent security for the rest of the country, perhaps allowing trade to move through the ports and black sea. Shit situation to be in, no good outcome other than how to spare as many lives as possible.

And in the process confirm to Putin that he has a precedent for grabbing what he wants.

Like I said, it's a shit situation, but you take steps to try and ensure it ends here. They've wanted NATO membership for years but have been stopped because of the internal conflict in the East. Give that up and then become members.

The longer this rumbles on, the more unrest there will be in the West. The public will put our leaders under pressure to give him the bloody lot when petrol keeps going up and you can't afford to cook a hot meal in winter.

I think that Russia having a grip on the black sea ports is something that I cannot see them relinquishing any ground on.

Johnson is interested for two reasons:

1. It allows him to indulge his fantasy that he can think of himself as some sort of Churchillian hero.

2. It helps detract from all the shit he does and he can trot out the "don't you know there's a war on" excuse whenever someone tries to call him to account.

Although he’s more Oswald Mosley than Churchill.
