Aided by that idiot Coleman playing him wideMifsud,I remember right had 1 good year then head got turned and in blink he was gone.
Coleman really was a terrible managerAided by that idiot Coleman playing him wide
Never understood that move or manager.Aided by that idiot Coleman playing him wide

And he wanted the job, I heard him in interview saying how disappointed he was to miss out. Character we loved to hate but could certainly produce winning teams.Another great move by Ray, we should have tried to get Warnock.
Exactly this, the team that was built was actually a very good side for the level and should have delivered more, had it not been under the instruction of an extremely poor manager.Coleman & Ranson really should attract a greater level of criticism than they currently do imo.
I've said before, I wonder how much of their tenure has played into the way Sisu are now in terms of perceived "lack of investment".
On paper they were investing in a reasonably good model (on the playing side not off the field) with the signings of undervalued talents like Westwood, Fox, Dann, Gunnarsson etc. but they trusted the wrong people to deliver it.
Even Pearson would have been preferable, which says everything.Another great move by Ray, we should have tried to get Warnock.
If that were the case, surely MR must have done enough by now to at least trust him a bit more than they seem to. Yes, some of our signings haven't worked out, but others have and overall results have steadily improved. Surely they must now that kind of performance on the budgets they provide can't be sustained.Coleman & Ranson really should attract a greater level of criticism than they currently do imo.

Attacking mid, central mid... not really paid much attention to where Brentford played him (or any of their transfer business to be honest!).... it does free up some wages too.Eriksen is a number 10, no?
More a case of "one out for Brentford", freeing up a bit more cash.Nobody can compare Hamer to Eriksen, unless you have sky blue tinted glasses.
For what it's worth...Fulham have £10M bid accepted for Man utd midfielder Andrea Pereira.
According to SSNews.
Perhaps they have been knocked back by City and moved on quickly to AP?
We should’ve gone for him!Romaine Sawyers could be a shout if a replacement is required, very good box to box midfielder with an eye for a pass, think he’s possibly surplus at the baggies.
We should’ve gone for him!
Coleman was an awful manager. Blessed with the best budget we've had since relegation, he created a turgid team, that rarely was above lower mid table. He bought some crap as well. Mcindoe, Stephen Wright, Freddy Eastwood, Leon Best. All probably on massive wages. Dann & Fox were signed before he'd even arrived I believe.Coleman & Ranson really should attract a greater level of criticism than they currently do imo.

Cov fans hate strikers who don’t run around a lot.Leon Best was a very good player, unfairly treated.

See Walker getting the exact same criticism 12 years later as an example that opinion hasn’t shifted. That was the gist of the majority of criticism wasn't it, that he was "lazy" despite literally collapsing of exhaustion after one of matches...

John got 29 goals in 88 games. Best got 19 in 92 games.Same applied to Stern John
