£3 really? It isn’t even a pint.

And no increase on b and c matches. Sorry it’s just another excuse for the people who don’t go not to go.

This is weird projection. Go outside for a bit.

Been outside plenty, factor fifty on. Not surprised people can't see the bigger picture but still frustrating that some can't accept that setting the detail aside, it looks sh*t and isn't the way to maintain the momentum we've built. Raising prices when there's c.10k empty home seats every game isn't good business given it won't raise much more cash. If we were selling out big games last season, I'd understand it.

Looks shit to who?

How is it going to stop the momentum?

I think you’re missing the point, £30 was already quite pricy for a lot of people. It’s ok saying don’t by food and drink, park further away but part of the match day experience for most is a few beers, bite to eat ( not necessarily in the ground ). I’m not saying I won’t go when I can but it will make me think twice if money starts to get tight over the winter.
Why not have one less beer, or moan at the pubs for charging extortionate amounts for a pint? It's just a little odd that the football club seems to be taking a lot of criticism for charging the going rate for a Championship match.

I'd be really surprised if clubs charging more weren't in areas with much higher avg. earnings etc. but our fans don't have to care about other clubs. Not like they have a choice about who they go and support based on price. People are annoyed about it. Folks on here can't get their heads around that so I'll leave it there. I can't be arsed to get in to the fine print or repeat myself.

You stopped getting your Wasps freebies or something?

If you can't debate a topic without making personal jabs at someone you know nothing about, f*ck knows what you're doing running a forum.

It wasn't a personal jab. You can always use Drunken Wasps if you want?

I was debating it, I was asking how it is going to stop our "momentum" as a club? By increasing £3 for 7 or 8 games.

Pretty sure there's more "outrage" than when Season Tickets were increased?

Maybe consider that most people thought that £30 was already steep and to then increase it is just taking the piss, especially seeing as we won like what, 1 or 2 Category A home games last season?

What happens next season when they put it up another £3 and we’re paying £36 to watch us playing fucking Stoke.

Only 3 quid ontop of the other 250 a month more that people pay on everything else thats gone up too.. think many are just feeling the squeeze ..

They are entitled to be annoyed by it 🤷‍♂️

Feels a little pricey to me £33. I don't get the it's only £3 argument either. If they make it £37 next year and £42 next years its easy to say each time its only a pint, but too me it's getting expensive.

I sort of feel £30 is the limit for Championship football...

If it goes to £42 then you have a point.

If it is for people on the day then £3 isn't as much as somebody who is going to all of them (in which case just get a season ticket or match package and save money).

God knows what things will be like in 2024, we might be paying £20 for a pack of butter and £5 a litre of diesel by then. In which case you would expect other things to rise too. (That's probably one for Politics threads).

I bet the beer and food in the ground and casino will have gone up also.

ITs OnLY 3 quid .

Remember that when your dog food goes up 1.50 and your petrol another 30 p ... it's only 30 p , just 3 wham bars boys 😂😂

It already has.

Not sure anybody is putting 1 litre of fuel in though.

Season tickets went up £45 but there wasn't this much rage, was there?

You get the point , it's another expense ontop of everything else that's gone up .. People are getting a bit fed up with it all

That's not all the club's fault though, is it?

It's the country in general. People will then want pay rises to cover it, that means the prices go up. Catch 22.

My broadband went up £5 a month, it's shite but it's not CCFC specific just trying to rip people off.

If there are people who are generally struggling to get by, they will be able to budget or even get in touch with @Mild-Mannered Janitor for a season ticket..... People moaning that it's £3 on top of their beers and food aren't likely to be the people really struggling.

The problem the club have is even if we accept that 33 is ok for a category A game as an adult .. the prices we charge for u18s seems very high , which makes it look alot worse .. it's not cheap watching coventry as a family

Category A that is

For balance - nicked this off twitter;

We also get bigger attendances than every single team on that list

If we take away brizzle and Cardiff we get thousands more fans in , yet to compensate Luton don't charge 50 quid do they

Anything up to 16, get the kids in the JSBs and use the Family Vouchers.

Even with 2 year's loyalty it's £100 more than ours for an adult on Early Bird.

No freebies for the kid's either.

And although Luton's CAT A game is £3 cheaper, the CAT C's are £4 more expensive and the CAT B's are £2 more per game. If it wasn't Friday I'd compare them both over the season.

Again, no free tickets for the kids.

Was only pointing out it's not as simple as just the top price for CAT A's for a few games a season.

To be fair , you've got an answer and alternative solution to every single point already in your head.. so it's easier to say we are cheap and that's that 🤣

No, I just looked at the prices for the club you used as an example and compared.

The same as I said if a family with U18's want to go to matches then get them in the JSBS (if Under 16) and use the vouchers / free tickets.

There are ways to save money a lot of the time if people are struggling.

Not going to get into judging everyone's individual circumstances but I do think it's more the psychology, perception & principle of it being £33 rather than £30 - financially the difference is miniscule.

This calculation is from 2 seasons ago (not seen one more recent, if anyone has it would be good to see):

OK il put it another way how I look at it ..

If I went to an away ground and they charged me 33 quid , I'd say they are robbing bastards ..

Even at 30 tbh .

That's always been how I've looked at it ..

I see fans on here , some saying how good our pricing is at 33 quid , moan when an away Club charges 28 quid ..

So I guess it's just a bit funny
