Not going to get into judging everyone's individual circumstances but I do think it's more the psychology, perception & principle of it being £33 rather than £30 - financially the difference is miniscule.

You are probably right, especially when the focus is completely on the top end.

I guess until you line each club's up side by side to compare (and if they have different tiers) it's hard to compare.

Just get a season ticket, if you can’t afford it or can’t get to enough games to justify that, buy a match package.
Think you can get them starting at 6 games . If you don’t attend 6 games, stop complaining, you don’t go often enough to notice the difference.

OK il put it another way how I look at it ..

If I went to an away ground and they charged me 33 quid , I'd say they are robbing bastards ..

Even at 30 tbh .

That's always been how I've looked at it ..

I see fans on here , some saying how good our pricing is at 33 quid , moan when an away Club charges 28 quid ..

So I guess it's just a bit funny

If it was an away game you wanted to go would you really notice the £3 though?

I guess it depends how different people do away days though.

I notice, despite not being sold out, no tickets can be purchased in blocks 14 and 15 this season; this on top of aisle seats being left empty if there was no ST renewal and a new block 16 fence. All seems a bit over the top.

Might have been better to put £1 on all cats; £33 the cheapest adult seat in the house to watch Burnley? A bit much that.

I couldn't give a monkey shit who we are playing I go to watch Coventry City FC only so they are saying that shite Burnley team is a premium game .. fuck off

Why not have one less beer, or moan at the pubs for charging extortionate amounts for a pint? It's just a little odd that the football club seems to be taking a lot of criticism for charging the going rate for a Championship match.

Good point, the price of beer is appalling in the UK. That just adds to the cost of doing anything in the country if you like a pint.

Maybe not. It's one less beer or pie. I did think £30 last year was about the limit of what should be charged.

In % terms it's a 10% price increase.

To counter that though, you have to also say the majority of games saw no price increase at all.

Can't be arsed to work out the overall percentage increase if going to every game compared to last season.

Given that season ticket prices increase not sure why people would expect no increase to match day prices too? Season tickets were always going to need to remain the best value for money.

Silly as it sounds, as i run a printing company i can tell you that ink, paper etc has gone up by 40-60% since Covid and going up more now.
The lack of people/businesses ordering it meant businesses were forced to up the price to survive. Now shipping costs have skyrocketed from China etc, it's only going up more. So yes, it will cost the club a lot more to print you your tickets.

If it goes to £42 then you have a point.

If it is for people on the day then £3 isn't as much as for somebody who is going to all of them (in which case just get a season ticket or match package and save money).

God knows what things will be like in 2024, we might be paying £20 for a pack of butter and £5 a litre of diesel by then. In which case you would expect other things to rise too. (That's probably one for Politics threads).

I bet the beer and food in the ground and casino will have gone up also.

Exactly mate, paper and ink have gone 40-60% up . Prices are stupid now for everything, i think 3GBP for a game should be the least of people's worries and if things carry on expect it to be much more next season or we sell everyone. This shit ain't ending soon.
