They won't be decent owners if they end up in shit creek long-run though...

I fully get your point. We all want a bit of excitement, but sometimes boring is sensible. It can also be naive. I think it's too early to make a judgment on if either policy is good, but in true boring fashion, I trust that MR knows what he is doing and wouldn't still be here if he didn't think we can make progress over the mid future. Let's hope these loanees (should they happen) can push us on another level.
SISU are not good owners. They've improved but they still have sod all ambition. No one should forget what they've put our club through.

True, can’t fault that statement but by the same token we have a very good manager and coaches to manage the football side and they have been upwardly mobile for a good period.

Agreed, the team have done a great job. Have to feel we've probably hit our ceiling though under this ownership. Hope not of course.

Reports suggest that the initial fee is around £16m with a potential for a further £4m in add-ons. It would represent a club record fee for the Bees.

Nothing against Wigan but this is the sort of thing I like to hear. Basically anything that makes our relegation less likely.

Yep. I'm the exact same.

Would be surprised if we ended up in a relegation battle but you're only ever 3/4 injuries to key players from it all going tits up.

Give me 3 basket cases like Derby each year.

None of Derby's level this year but looking like quite a few are in trouble (Birmingham, Reading, Blackpool, Wigan) and you also have Rotherham who love to go straight back down.

Rotherham have lost some key players too so you'd expect a greater struggle

Would be interesting to know what salary they offered him. They're supposed to be slashing their wage bill to £16M.
"Slashing" it to
just 16m!! Really!
How will they cope!!??

Like Derby being limited to 8m in League 1... sure our budget I the year we won it was circa 6m??
