excellent news.
It seems to be on its arse here in Bham. Father in law went to gp with horrendous cough and loss of appetite in November. Repeat visits and palmed off time each with antibiotics as his symptoms worsened by the week. Fifth visit at the start of May and he was told if no improvement he will be referred for a scan in a fortnight.
Had to get an ambulance out a few days later as he couldn’t breath. Taken in, scanned and multiple advanced tumours found on his lungs. Died three days later.
Obviously he may have been too far along when he first went to his gp but the symptoms he had are literally the definition of possible lung cancer symptoms that the NHS push. Whether they’d have made more of an effort had he not been 70 I don’t know, but it stinks.
He didn’t smoke but was against the vaccination so me and the wife were convinced it was long covid. Sadly not.
