Couldn’t see him and Doyle playing much in the same back 3. He wouldn’t put one of them on the right and can’t imagine trusting one of them in the middle with Hyam and Fadz about.

We've now got 3 to cover two positions (RCB and central CB) and 2 to cover the LCB position. Very positive about it. Two young talented players on the left who will need breaks for the side at times. Just an LWB to go and we are good to go until we sell one of the crown jewels!

He's historically been good at LWB at this level .. I think he's a fine enough player , fans just decided they didn't like him

Agreed, he has thousands of minutes experience at LWB in this league. Just looked on transfermarkt.

People are fawning over JCS because we didn't get him but seem to forget Bidwell.

JCS was better 🤷🏻‍♂️

Bidwells looked OK after a poor start. Though the Swansea fans who described him as “consistently a 6/7 never a 3/4 and never a 9/10” seem to be about right.

The young wing back to cover Bidwell that SBB mentioned and that’s us done you would think? If we don’t lose anyone.

As we have found out, thousands of minutes of experience at Championship level do not always mean the player is still at Championship level, or any better than someone who hasn't played a single Championship minute yet.

I don't dislike Bidwell; he's only just really got in the door so next season will be the real one to judge him on.

Salter was a centre half

Then we’ve got another Giles/McCallum situation which was always weird

Comments on the Sun'lun board are that Doyle was pushed too much too quickly by their manager and he tired after about 30 games. And Panzo hasn't played much so his stamina is suspect. But with both these new lads, we've got adequate cover to rotate the position should one start to drop form.

Bidwell is a very good left back

did he come into us a bit cold after telling Swansea he wasn't signing a new deal?

Id like another forward minded LWB too, let’s see who is next up.
After that I guess we need one more CB to cover middle or right spot just in case?

Perhaps one cm altho Eccles prob be the 4th cm

So I guess not much left to be done unless sell walker then we need another striker in maybe

Not a fan of signing cover, I’d rather sign first team and have our existing player as cover. With that in mind it’s probably Fadz, Dabo/Kane, Moore in that order that could be replaced if there’s better out there. Once we’ve got a LWB in. Of course that all changes if we do with a 433, where I’d like to see a pacy wide forward brought in.

Well I have to say I'm absolutely shocked to fuck by this, tbf I only saw him 2 or 3 times last season, but he was totally fucking shite, as it take the fucking piss shite, so what the fuck are we thinking of bringing him in for a whole season???

I only hope he Has somehow massively improved, or that AV can magically make a silk purse out of a steaming pile of pig shit.

God I hope this post gets bumped a million times and I get proved wrong, but right now I'm seriously not impressed.

Who did you see him playing for?

My thoughts too. Good luck to both of the lads but we’ve replaced an experienced Championship CB with two youngsters

JCS was not experienced. Since he left Chelsea he has drifted and not really fit in anywhere until he came to us. I honestly think he has now turned the corner and will go from strength to strength, but then again I thought Walsh would too.
