O'Hare bids (55 Viewers)

if it’s such a winning formula why don’t all clubs adopt it?

It’s a nonsense argument and ultimately can only end one way

What...show faith in managers? I don't know...why don't you ask all other league club chairman their opinion? I'm only bothered by our club.

And it's obviously not a nonsense argument but I wouldn't expect anything different in a response from you to one of my posts.

Again, obviously, it can end two ways. He stays or he goes. Is he likely to go? Probably. Buy I'm not going to shit my pants thinking its another stick to beat the club with. He's a good player...he's naturally attracting attention.

You carry on on your negativity crusade though.

I'm off to do the kids bedtime and watch the golf on catch up tonight. Enjoy a cold beer G.

Sisu are fine owners in the lower leagues where you can only operate based on your income anyway.

This level you need more.

Not Mel Morris, just not extracting income from the club would be a start let alone a bit of modest investment.

I can’t believe anybody would disagree with that.
Agreed

It’s not the sale that irks me, it’s Kompany openly talking about our players. That is why I hope they implode. Another big time Charlie club like Bournemouth who think they have the divine right to do and say what they want even when players are contracted elsewhere. Plus it’s a shit hole
I can attest to it being a shit hole. I used to live on the estates in Newcastle and Burnley was somehow worse than that.

Mmmmmmm what millions????
Check out the admin charges for the last 10-15 years. Few mill a season + interest.
Where do you think their paper debt of 40 -60 mill comes from?
I say 40-60 mill , but it can be any figure they make up at the time.
Pete mate, don’t make apologies for SISU just because they have spoken to you.
They are no friends to this club.

I’m not they haven’t taken millions out. On paper they may have an amount but it’s not been taken out yet. I agree with what liquid said a few pages back

But they have. They have not asked for the loan to be repaid, your right.
But they put an extortionate interest rate on the amount and take that.
That fictitious amount will stop anyone buying the club. It keeps us in a financial downward spiral.

Waited for the players like a sad 8 year old after the game. Asked COH if he was likely to play for us again.. he replied with a seemingly frustrated ‘who knows..’ 😢

People actually blaming the club for not turning down what sounds like a big bid for a player we signed for free is ludicrous. I’m absolutely gutted to lose COH but I cannot blame the club for letting him go if bid is £10m+, as is being reported. Whether it be SISU or Abu Dhabi own us, that bid is always being accepted. Deluded to think otherwise.

Perhaps you should have asked sisu man Boddy

didn’t see him. Doubt he was here. Cal looked pissed off when questioned tbh. Personally think if he goes it’ll be against his will irrespective of whether or not he can gain a big pay hike.

We are going to suffer another ’ week of is he or isn’t he on his bike, to be honest if we have to sell him for me it would be anywhere but pissing Burnley.

Don’t blame Callum for being frustrated when being asked a stupid question he’s probably been asked more than enough times by needy fans.

how is it a stupid question? It’s the only question that we want to know the answer to right now ffs. Sorry for trying to keep the needy fans up to date when there have been multiple pages on the subject matter. Maybe I’ll just wave at him next time.

Perhaps us fans should be more vocal about it rather than just bellyaching on here.

If the price is in that region, I think fans will understand. If it’s £4-5 M i think the majority will be very disappointed.

Because even if he knew he was definitely leaving, would he say ‘yeah I’m going, bye’? Nope.

If we get what money we need Boddy will force him out the club no question

This really rings of McSheffrey's move to Birmingham when they were trying to get him as cheaply as they could. Bruce was in the press for weeks before the deal went through moaning that we were standing in the players way and wouldn't sell for a fair price (their low valuation of course). McSheffrey ended up playing our first game of the season and scored the winner against Sunderland, after which we sold him to the Blues. Selling to a rival in the same league (and buying rubbish replacements) obviously had a negative knock on which we never really recovered from.

Still hoping he doesn't go, as while I'll be happy if O'Hare scores the winner against Sunderland, I'm not too keen on us repeating the other affects from the McSheffrey sale.
Wasn’t that Eddie Johnson?

what I was implying was that when asked, he looked dejected. Not because of the question itself, but that because he didn’t know the outcome as it was it of his hands. His body language said it all

Tbh it’s as silly as people tweeting their official accounts asking them all this stuff. What answer were you hoping for out of interest?

No problem you asking the question, but he's never going to be able to say either way, is he? Not your fault, nor his.
