Why would overson know? And why if he did for some unknown reason tell some random guy at a pre season friendly

Someone is taking you for a ride mate

He spunked 200k of his own on the training ground, got access to BCD games during covid and is clearly friendly with Robins.
I'd imagine he's more ITK than most.

You really think he would know the inner workings of a transfer deal and then go and blab it to some random person at a pre season friendly.... Ok 😂

Next 10 days or so all will know the truth and who to place credit or blame on. The most important person will be MR his comments or actions will be interesting,

This won't have come as a shock to Robins. He'll have been clearly aware of the situation.
Robins has stated he wants to keep him, but if he has to go he expects them to pay the market price.
Perhaps he is thinking,if they get an inflated price a little bit might come his way.
The less SISU take, the less he will get. Or like Pete said,he is getting nothing anyway.

I never said that, you said why would he know, and I gave some reasons as to why he might be more ITK than most.

I'm distantly related to an ex SPL player and knew the details of his transfer fees and contracts and I wasnt shy about spilling the beans!

Which is exactly what your horseshit has done which I'm sure was the intention of you writing it

Nope.

I had heard it was 10 million or get fucked

Which seems to be the accepted trail of thought.

Thought it was interesting that someone apparently well connected said otherwise

It's taken us years to get back to where we were when they took over, (and arguably in aslightly better position).

Joy has stuck her head above the parapet and declared her love for all things Sky Blue and we've managed to unearth a few gems thanks to the club at last having some structure and some semblance of a functioning recruitment department.

I, and I I think others, thought there was a slight chance they might try and support Robins in getting us tha bit extra required for a play off push given the potential rewards. After all, you say you're acutely aware ofwhatare owners are, well arent hedge funds aggressive speculators, (not that anyones calling for them to go mad)?

When we're this close I can't believe people are willing to accept going backwards.

I think we’re actually on the same page. However, a few platitudes from Joy is hardly progress as far as actual investment, it’s the definition of words, not actions. You’re right no one is willing to go backwards but what has actually changed other than MR and V excelling and hiding the deficiencies and pushing us forward? Not much.. bits of backing here and there perhaps? So we’re right back to the word; expectations. We all should expect more but given who calls the shots? Don’t expect it.

Surely if we’re not desperate to sell he’d cost above market value???
He’s on another level ability wise compared to the rest of the squad, this is a massive season for him, if he adds goals to his all round play his value doubles.

It's just frustrating when you see how close we are.
A couple of decent additions in January and we might have gone up, I think most people are in Broad agreementwith that.
I'd never advocate spanking tens of millions we don't have but just that little extra push........

I get it but we have to say fuckem and move on. We can only rely on MR and Viveash… and donate our left nuts if it’ll means they’ll stick around.

Some not all but that doesn’t mean we don’t deserve a bit
You call people bedwetters for expecting SISU to reinvest some of the profit from sales, back into the team.
Then you say you hope we might see a bit.Make your mind up Pete.
Your friends at SISU either invest in the team or don’t. Which is it.
ps. I am 68 level headed and pretty well educated. I never panic and take exception to being called a bedwetter, especially when I can’t see the person saying it.

Sorry I take back the bed wetter comment! It was unhelpful. I didn’t use the term over the lack of funds for transfer fees but everything.
So we have
They’ll all be sold
One will definitely go
It will be for a low fee
Boddy is pimping them
Robins has already confirmed he doesn’t think he’ll get money for transfer fees but I’m hoping he’s just keeping his cards close

Do you see what I mean? And sorry too!

The alternative could be

We’ve not sold anyone and added three players
If anyone leaves we will get a figure above blah blah blah

Well I was more hinting at the great SISU plan
The master plan is to be the bank of last resort add interest on any loans to secure their investment so when the club is sold they can maximise the fee.

Anythihg else is utterly dependent on what the club can do for themselves. Ie player transactions

😂😂 sorry Pete I didn’t really take exception. I am lying on me sun bed with nowt else to do.
I thinks the gist of all this is,we ALL accept we area selling club ( they all are ) .
But I think realistically the owners should be putting a % of profit from player sales, back into the team.
On many occasions this just doesn’t seem the case.

While I've got no idea what is or isn't accurate, it appears Saddle has heard from one source the price is £10m while another supposedly heard it's £6m and the argument is over it being paid up front or in installments.

I'm wondering if it's possible they could both be accurate to a degree and the overall fee is more like £10m but the payment up front we're looking for is £6m?

Or it could be me having wishful thinking because I think £6m is far too low.

Or it could just all be bollocks.

To be fair, you’re 68, I’m 62. So bed-wetting can’t be ruled out at this stage of our lives 😊
