Away Ticket Points Scheme Unveiled! (2 Viewers)

From what I gather, Sunderland only released their match tickets last week themselves.

If police are interfering, it's no surprise. Once again, fans messed around.

12pm kick off miles away on a Sunday and no tickets within a fortnight. Pathetic.

Yeah but they said that once last season. I can't remember which club it was but they tweeted back and basically said bollocks we gave you the tickets last week. Got a feeling its our end.
Haha I remember that. QPR maybe?

Does anyone else think it's a little strange that zero info on tickets for Sunderland with less than 2 weeks before the match?
Points system not working / Police can't agree on allocation? They are on general sale for home ends so makes no sense.
Yep its normally 2 weeks before isn’t it,what’s the hold up

I like how people are outraged that those who went to Birmingham are getting more points

damn those people supporting their club at the lowest ebb.. they should give them
Double points
So if someone had a season ticket at St Andrews and never went to a single away game that season V a non season ticket holder who went to every away game same season, what then? Who should have the better points if that’s what is supposedly based on?

I somehow only have 540 points despite having a season ticket this year, last year and one during the Covid season too. Also had match packages at St Andrews as well. Oh well, maybe I’ll get to go to one away game this year when someone gives us a huge allocation.

Been fiddling with my settings on ticket master so I can get tickets for my dad...
What is the difference between "assign to" and "manage"?
Which one allows me to buy for him through my account!?... done it loads of times but just been an arse, fiddled around and forgot which one was which!!?!
Help appreciated... thanks!

I don’t get the fuss, away games will still largely accessible - Just not the ones with the small allocations, and for the ones with the small allocations - The people who literally dedicate their lives following Coventry City up and down the country every week of their lives are guaranteed a ticket

seems fair to me

People need to realise that with Bournemouth out the equation - This and Luton are the two smallest allocations we will receive all season (and possibly Brum if they haven’t got their stands sorted by the time we play them)

It’s not going to be like this all the time

One is financially supporting the club the other isn’t.

the season ticket holders should have priority all the time. The club was on its knees rightly or wrongly, those who provide the club financially should benefit more than those who just go to sing the sky blue song. Same as those who bought season tickets during the Covid season, I say this as someone who didn’t have a ST in those years.

the scheme is in place to award those most loyal to the club, so if you attend 23 home games and financially support the club you should get more priority than those who put £0 into the club

I'm mixed on it. I totally agree with everything you've said and I'm in that category, but equally I see a lot of the same faces away all the time and it's hard to think it's fair that someone who goes regularly should miss out because someone else fancies a day out.

On balance the club would never please everyone and I think they have it about right. I also think it's less of an issue than some are saying and that tickets will be available for most games.

Safer watching the Sunderland game on Sky
I was inSunderland on business last week and even intelligent Sunderland fans who have never endorsed or been hooligans are saying it is going to "kick off"

Mad that other teams fans saying its going to kick off. Must be true.

Birmingham did bring 10 thousand without tickets to the CBS last season after all

Reward the people that put money into our club i.e home games. If they dont go to away games they wont block people that do home and away.

Another away game that hasn't sold out.

The one per ticket at general sale needs scrapping. People can't buy bulk loads Luke before.
Genuine question.... If someone went to the ticket office this morning and asked for 2 tickets for Stoke tomorrow would they not be able to purchase if they didn't have a membership number even though they are on general sale?

They would need two membership numbers to hand. Makes it too difficult.

For me, if we have 500 tickets left two days before a match, open it to an actual general sale with 2/3 tickets per person.

I wanted to take someone to Bristol City who's never been before and decided not to bother as I needed to create another account. So much faff in the scheme of things.

Near on 2500 is a flipping great turn out
The points system came in for dogs abuse before actually being used but I don't see any posts from anyone that can't get tickets
Seems to be working perfectly
Do agree that once they hit general sale we should be able to buy as many as we like though
Agree completely. The system seems to be a success so far. tbf to the club theyve listened and learned as theyve gone as well, the first few games the windows were to spread out and they changed it to two a day meaning we can buy earlier to arrange getting there etc.

Agree with general sale being that, you shouldn't need a number or a limit. Or at very least just the booker needing a number.

But as with the above im sure they'll listen and change eventually.

doesn't everyone need a supporter number so they can allocate points?

When it gets to general and you buy with a season ticket, fair enough, allocate the points still. But if it’s general it’s general. If points mattered to the general buyer they’d make an account.

Couldn’t they just make it so multiple orders on a single account in general sale don’t accumulate points?
We all know how that would end up. Wouldn't be long before someone was complaining they couldn't get a ticket because their points weren't allocated.

There can't be many people who are going to away games who don't have a supporter number can there? You need it to buy home tickets as well don't you, or is it not the same number you use when booking online?
